A pregnant fitness model who showed off her small bump and toned body has given birth to a healthy baby boy - and she says he's already following in his mum's footsteps.
Chontel Duncan, from Queensland, worked out every day of her pregnancy, resulting in a toned tummy that made headlines earlier this month.
The former Miss Universe finalist gave birth to Jeremiah Thomas on Friday, and shared an adorable snap of the newborn with her 400,000 Instagram followers.
The 3.5kg tot is "extremely alert and very strong, shocking the staff here with his arms and neck strength," she revealed alongside the image.
Introducing Little D Jeremiah Thomas Duncan Born: "good Friday" 8:24pm 25th March 2016 Weighing: 7'13 pounds (3.5kg) 53cm long 39weeks /2days Healthy happy baby boy, absolutely nothing medically wrong with bubba, he is extremely alert and very strong shocking the staff here with his arms and neck strength. Absolute champion on the boob & feeding very regularly no problem. My recovery is smooth also with no complications. Miah has the most incredible dad who has been my rock throughout this entire experience, without Sam I don't know if the experience would had been that successful. Sam has done basically everything and picked up the tricks, tools & just the challenging 'new born' tasks like a bloody natural. Love at first sight I have now experienced & that new found attraction to your husbands "babies daddy" I know does exists & I can't picture anything more attractive then seeing your husband nurture their new born. Thank you to my incredible team who helped us finish off what has been such an amazing experience. Also I BIG thanks for everyone for all of their supportive comments, I do read every single comment & it honestly makes me so happy and smile all day from your kind words. I love Jeremiah T Duncan so much it's crazy 💙 Thank you Mel @captured_dreams_by_melanie
And, as you'd expect from a woman who kept in shape right up until her due date, Duncan is bouncing right back from the delivery.
"My recovery is smooth also with no complications," she wrote.
The 27-year-old also gave a shout-out to her partner for supporting her throughout the pregnancy and birth.
"Miah has the most incredible dad who has been my rock throughout this entire experience, without Sam I don't know if the experience would had been that successful," Duncan wrote.
In November, Duncan posted a photograph of herself comparing baby bellies with her friend Nat, who was just four weeks ahead in her pregnancy.
This is Nat's third child.
The difference in the size of the expectant mums' bumps could not have been more stark.
"Each women carries different and this most certainly doesn't mean one is doing something wrong or not healthy etc," Duncan wrote alongside the image.
"We both have healthy growing babies & we both have had incredible pregnancies so far, feeling amazing & full of energy."
Duncan is now looking forward to the future, with a sibling for Jeremiah looking likely.
"If all goes well, I plan to fall pregnant again this year," she told People.
I was surprised with a cute visit today from a friend Nat who is also expecting 💕 Just being able to see someone in the flesh, rub her tummy, hear how incredible her journey has been so far, how healthy baby is & all the fun talk about kicks, food, names etc was beautiful. This is Nat's 3rd pregnancy so she had a lot of great advice to share ☺️ It's very clear in this photo just how tall I am, I mean my chin sits above Nat's head lol We worked out that we are 4 weeks apart, so our little ones will be the same age, same grade at school and potential best buds hehehehe..... Nat's due start of March & I'm due end of March. Each women carries different and this most certainly doesn't mean one is doing something wrong or not healthy etc. We both have healthy growing babies & we both have had incredible pregnancies so far, feeling amazing & full of energy. #21.5weeks #expecting #march2016 #pregnant #love #happiness #Babyduncan
