Kim Kardashian has revealed that her fourth child with husband Kanye West is named Psalm West.

The birth of the baby boy was announced on Twitter on May 10, with the star tweeting again a few minutes later that he looks a lot like Chicago at the same age.

Then on May 18 came the name reveal, with Kim posting a screenshot of a message thread between her and Kanye, along with a photo of the tot in his crib.

Kim simply captioned it "Psalm West"

The famous couple have three other children; daughter Chicago, 17 months, a son, Saint, 3, and daughter North, 5.

Chicago and Psalm were both carried and birthed by surrogates.

Kim has shared that she suffered from a life-threatening condition called Placenta Accreta in her first and second pregnancies, with doctors warning her she could not have more children without serious risk.

"Placenta accreta is a serious pregnancy condition that occurs when the placenta grows too deeply into the uterine wall" states Mayo Clinic, with patients requiring an early emergency c-section and in many cases a complete hysterectomy after delivery.

Kim's followers had recently speculated the couple would name their newest son 'Bear' after the star's use of a bear emoji on social media.

True to form, they chose a completely unguessable noun. Psalm means, "a sacred song or poem for the purpose of worship".
