'I don't feel obese': Pink urges mums to stay off the scales

You know what it's like: you give birth, but that baby weight doesn't leave your body along with the baby. And you know you should ignore the scales and love your body for the amazing achievement of growing a life inside it, but with images of 'perfect' mums bombarding us from every direction it can be tough.

Enter our hero: Pink.

Pink recently shared an image on Instagram of herself working out in the gym.

"Would you believe I'm 160 pounds (about 73kg) and 5'3" (160cm)?" the singer wrote in the caption. "By 'regular standards' that makes me obese. I know I'm not at my goal or anywhere near it after Baby 2 but dammit I don't feel obese.

"The only thing I'm feeling is myself. Stay off that scale ladies! #feelingmyself #strongismygoal #bodygoals #GIJaneismyWCW."

That "WCW" in Pink's hashtags is all about Woman Crush Wednesday, a popular hashtag that people use to tag women they admire every, you guessed it, Wednesday.

The fact that she's even at the gym while her baby boy Jameson Moon Hart is only four months old is impressive. But I love that her workouts are clearly coming from a place of self-love and not flogging herself back into shape to adhere to societal standards of what celebrity mums "should" look like.

This isn't the first time Pink has talked about her weight. When she was the subject of body-shaming comments on Twitter in 2015, she tweeted, "I feel beautiful … Please don't worry about me. I'm not worried about me. And I'm not worried about you either. I am perfectly fine, perfectly happy, and my healthy, voluptuous and crazy strong body is having some much deserved time off."

Pink is my woman crush, every day of the week. We could all learn a whole lot from her about treating ourselves with love.
