Basic courtesy and manners, that seem to be lacking in today's society. It doesn't hurt to say please or thank you, or even excuse me or bless you when someone sneezes. I want to promote and encourage great manners.....which they have at home, then seem to vanish when they are around other peoples little monsters who lack them.

Putting things away!! The goal is that everything has its rightful place, and there will be less mess and clutter, and more time to play if we don't have to spend ages picking up after ourselves. I want to teach them not to have to double handle, by immediately putting things straight back in their correct and rightful place......like we did before they came along!! Might even have to start rewarding their father for this too :)

Helpfulness, I really want to promote and encourage them to aid and assist wherever their little hands and bodies are capable. And I don't mean big things, little things like helping Mum set the table, or pairing socks when the washing comes in. By starting small, they'll grow up to be independent and able to do it all, and more, not waiting for someone else to do things for them. I want them to be go getters, not lazy bums!! Like their Mum who can and does do it all and so much more.

I want to promote kindness, cooperation and tolerance within my household. We are a blended family and sometimes there is a sometimes his vs hers vibe which I want to gently stop. We are all part of the same family now. Not everyone gets on all the time but if we have kindness, cooperation and tolerance we can sort out the disagreements quickly and in a non hurtful way.

Elfie Love reward packs have perfectly encapsulated my goals for my children: look after themselves, follow their routine, be respectful and value their friends/family.

In Nanna's house the goal is for children and Nanna having an 'amazing day' so that there are surprises and happy stories to take home.

Their goals are achievable for ages 3 and 5 years. Tidying own room, pack up after play. Brush own hair and teeth. I'm there if need be, but it's the self-help that is giving independance; skills. Which is enough of a goal for now :)

Good manners since they reflect on what kind of parents and upbringing they have.

Honesty, Responsibility, particularly financial responsibility. I'll teach my children to work hard for what they want and to set financial goals so they can be in a better position than I am.

I need to teach my children independence in caring for themselves, others and their surroundings, especially as two of them are on the autism spectrum and struggle with this.

My daughter currently cries and complains while getting dressed- shoes too tight, pants too long, anything! I want to encourage her to speak before grizzling.

No biting and no hitting which has become a big problem in my house recently! Since bringing my newborn baby home, my two year old boy has developed bad behaviours and it is his 3 year old brother that is suffering most.
