I would play the piano - I love the sound of the piano - so relaxing when you want it to be and so upbeat and fun when you want it to be. Unfortunatley I can't even read music.

Penny whistle! They sound so sweet and are small enough to take anywhere! Unfortunately, school days playing recorder have turned most people off any whistles.

Violin as I love the sound when it's played properly. I tried to learn for a few months when I was young but gave it up to learn piano and flute instead.

The bass guitar - in all of my favourite songs the bass line is just amazing and so distinctive. It's a very soulful instrument for me.

The drums for sure. I'd love to release some energy belting out a tune.

I believe the cost of a harp is equal to purchasing a house,

so my wish; I would love the talent to play the harp.

Voice. I grew up playing piano and swore my children would play something more portable. A voice is the ultimate portable instrument!

The harmonica - *swoon* I can't help but be transported to a world of 'coolness' when I hear this sound! I hope my daughter isn't relying on my genes for her musical talent, though I do try!!

The guitar as it is light enough to carry and you can play just about any music. It would be great to have family nights in together strumming songs on the guitar and singing along.

Complicated clapping,as flamenco dancers and musicians do, called "palmas", it's amazing and would be the ultimate party trick, and very cool to teach kids.

I would play the recorder, so when my kids reach school age and have to learn it, I could show them how it is meant to sound.
