hello

i am very excited as i now have cable broadband so will now not missout on the weekend threads and so much to catch up with on monday.

am very excied and have been playing ever since i got it (last 2 hours !!).

what's the qott ?

QOTT last thread - we had vegies and chump chops (as what was the last thing in the freezer). very boring.

i seriously can;t think of my favourite movie - but did thoroughly enjoy bridget jones - what a laugh

must atend to a crying baby

Now I need a question for the thread. I hope I don't repeat one we have had already because I have missed a few threads.

Ok, daggy but I think it tells a lot about your My personality. What is your favourite song and why? What song to you HATE and why?

My answers:

There are a couple that I always HAVE to listen to...one is "what about me' by moving pictures (gag) because It was really popular when I was a kid and probably the first song I remember singong from the radio. I also love "Baby I love your way" by Peter Frampton (yes I am a dag) because we had this song at our wedding ceremony (sung by a friend) and "Message to My Girl" by Split Enz because we had this as our wedding dance (sung by live musos).

I HATE Bryan Adams "Everything I do" because I had a boyfriend who made it OUR song and I cringe when I think about him or that song :)

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Nicole

QOTT - fave song..hmm...like movies, I have heaps of songs I love, so that is hard to pick just one.

I love 'Teardrop' by Massive Attack. Also, I love the 'Diva' soundtrack (opera).... I love so many different songs if you ask me at any hour of a day over a year it would probably be a different answer depending on my mood!! Anything from Sisters of Mercy to Led Zeppelin to David Bowie to Morcheeba to Talvin Singh to Madonna to Ministry to Enya. I have VERY varied taste.

I have an 'our song' that makes me chuckle rather than cringe - my high school boyfriend told me that we should make The Beatles 'We can work it out' be OUR SONG! LOL Well, I guess we couldn't work it out cause we broke up after school!

Caity slept for 3 hours this afternoon! I'm so impressed, that is pretty rare. It was lovely, I got to fall asleep on the sofa watching Oprah.

ETA - I am a real 80s one-hit-wonder girl too when it comes to music :) Showing my age!

Love the gift idea twh. But I was a bit stumped as I thought tp was teapot and I couldn't figure out where the spout was going to come out.

Oops, too many wines already and it's only 6:45 .

Ingrid, I also had to think hard about that one! I was thinking it was a very unusual shape for a teapot! ROFL

And I haven't had any wine. No excuses here!

QOTT - I don't really have any favourite songs. Since being at home now, I don't listen to the radio as much as I used too. The last couple of CD's I have bought though, are Kelly Clarkson and Missy Higgins. Both really good and Holly loves to dance to them too.

Last QOTT - tuna pasta bake with brocolli and carrot.

Fiona - isn't broadband wonderful. You could never go back to dial up after having it. I love being able to walk past the computer and just check my email or pop online. It's great.

RB - just saw a clip on the news earlier. How ridiculous! I bet it tastes awful anyhow.

I have a great photo which I'll put on the msn site. It's hilarious.

TWH - Georgia slept for 3 hours today too. Must have been something in the air. Glad you got a nap.

Bec - the Kelly Clarkson one is good hey! I don't have many other recent ones at all. I NEVER buy them. The KC one I bought myself for our wedding anniversary last month LOL I love 80's music too. We've got a couple of ones here. Let me know Bec, if you want to know the titles.

I can't get onto another site that the pic is on, so I'll do it later.

ETA - poor Bronte. She must have a very touchy tummy. Better keep pumping those boozies Bec ;p

Evening ladies,

My legs are aching after running round chatswood today.

TWH: Lucky you getting to fall asleep in front of Oprah.

Bec +2: Were you playing a little trick on us the last thread, pretending to be someone else?

Karina: I need to ask you something, where are youuuuuuuu? When you get on can you messenger me please.

We just had dinner at the new pub that opened down the road. Was ok. Pretty average but we only got bistro food. Might try out the restraunt another night.

I might pop into chat tonight but don't know yet. I am really buggered and I have a busy day tomorrow.

QOTT: I have so many I can't think right now, would not have 1 favourite. I really hate that frog song thats out and I can't stand country music or reggae, or anything by Creed... YUCK!!

LQOTT: I also LOVE Audrey Hepburn and one of my favourites is Breakfast at Tiffanys. I love all her outfits in that movie. I have it on DVD and watch it all the time. I also love I am sam, watched it again the other night, such a great movie. Bring it on, Clueless, Heathers, Bridget Jones, 4 Weddings and a Funeral, About a boy, Notting Hill (all those good pommie ones), Murials Wedding, Pulp Fiction, Lock stock and two smoking barrels, Right think I have named enough. Love em all though.

I hate (sorry Anne and Purps) Coyote Ugly and Crossroads (the Britanny Spears movie). I love a good teeny boppy girlie flick but I really thought they both sucked.

Weighed myself today, haven't lossed but haven't put on so I am happy with that.

Bye

Rebecca

Life is like a bawx of chawclits...

Curious to know who this 'Lemon' is too! Yooohoooo, who are you? :)

Just got back from gym and feel absolutely knackered for some reason (?!)

Stellbell - I love all those movies you listed too.

And I can't stand Creed. Aren't they trying sooooo hard to be someone? I can't recall who cause my brain is like Pooh bears these days, but I'm sure you know who I mean. Good to hear your PT is making you work your a*se off running around Chatswood. I need someone to crack the whip at me. I haven't done my 7 minute abs in a while and it makes a MASSIVE difference. Have to get motivated again.

Bec+2 - Toto's 'Africa'! Awwwww, I like that song too.

Oh, and check out the english version of allofmp3.com ;) Poor litte Bronte. Nasty formula - have you tried the lactose free one? Maybe she has a lactose intolerance?

Ang - I like Missy Higgins too. Kelly Clarkson is not bad either - was she the American Idol winner? I was surprised they didn't pick some Barbie type.

Gosh, I can't believe how late you girls stay up. I am struggling to make it to Will's dream feed at 10pm most nights. And I seriously function on auto pilot if I have to get up during the night. There is no way I would be able to log on the computer in that state.

QOTT - I have pretty eclectic music tastes. I am also a Portishead fan, can't remember who else said that one. Love Mazzy Star, Nick Cave, Jeff Buckley, Tori Amos, Radiohead. I also love tons of Aussie bands. Last cds I bought were Missy Higgins and the new Ben Lee one. Fave song is even harder. Oh and I also love lots of 80s music, especially Madonna stuff from that time. Also love all the old crooners like Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra.

Songs I hate, Well atm the moment I am starting to hate Neil Diamond because dh loves him and keeps playing it, and I am well and truly over it.

I think I am going to have to bite the bullet and get dh to help me figure out how to get into chat. I probably won't be able to keep up with you lot anyway.

Bec - Try making your own sushi. I thought it would be really hard, but we had to make some for Ds1's japanese project at school at it was quite easy. We didn't do any fancy stuff, just the big jumbo rolls with different fillings. It was Yummo. I bought most of the stuff from the supermarket.

I will check in later and see if any of you are up after another big night in chat.

I forgot my big news.

We gave Will solids the morning for the first time. He gobbled it all down with the biggest grin on his face. He didn't spill a drop and even looked like he was trying to lick his lips to get it all in. Too cute.

Ooh, I like all the bands Ingrid said too :) Portishead and Mazzy Star and Nick Cave esp.

Last night was a cack girls, and clearly you partied on...you are all absolutely barmy. Karina, I have no idea how you get by on so little sleep!!!!

Has anyone bought toys for the cot yet, like those Fisher Price activity centre thingos? I'm thinking it might help entertain Caity in the mornings when she wakes up if she can have something to play with. Will be interesting to see how she responds to it, cause I've kept her cot very bare so far. (Never got around to getting a mobile! wah!)

It is a gorgeous morning. We are avoiding the wet patch in bed. I know what you're all thinking, but no - wet patch doesn't mean that anymore. It means Caity has been in bed and drooled everywhere. I was pondering how the meaning of 'wet patch' has now become:

- drool patch

- puke patch

- nappy leak

- breast leak

Certainly never means what it used to mean! LOL

Anyway, what a gorgeous morning to be lazy and have a lie-in.....zzzz
