Hi everyone,

Thanks for your kind words.

I went to the doctor today for another opinion (not my usual GP) and he didn't seem overly concerned. I am stressed out of my mind, as I am not sure what to do now.

The u/s report basically read that I have a large perinatel hematoma (large blood clot around the the entire sac, which is bigger than the sac). I hope that bub can hang in there. The sonographer said it doesn't look good, and that I'd better hope that the baby can hang on, as if it comes away he/she may not survive, or if it gets any bigger, then I may m/c again. The doc said don't worry, and that these things don't usually end badly.

So for now, I am trying to disattach myself, I am feeling depressed and sad, and have an empty pit when I think about my baby, scared that he/she won't make it.

I will have a repeat u/s in a fortnight to see what happens. I really hope that it works out, and I am trying to stay positive.

I will keep you updated. Sorry for lack of personals...will be back when I am not feeling so depressed and emotional (being nauseated and REALLY tired all the time doesn't help I guess).

Hi ladies been a while since i have spoken to you all. I prob won't be part of this thread for too much longer. It looks like my little boys waters are leaking the girl seems to be doing fine though. I really don't see me making it too much further along with that. I have to go to the hospital daily to monitor the babies and me to make sure we don't get an infection. I'm very tired from this but my partner has been great making sure my stress levels stay low and working from home most days. I hope everyone's pregnancies are going well i will be back later to read all your posts. Take care and keep safe

Hi,

Mel, wishing you all the best in the next coming weeks. I hope the babies do not come to early. Do you have to have bed rest because your waters are leaking.

Sorry to hear of your problems Tasmin, I am thinking of you.

I am hoping all the other pregnant women are well and not having much morning sickness.

I am 36 and a half weeks pregnant and I am starting to feel it. The baby is weighing a ton and I feel like I am carrying a elephant. The baby must be sitting on a nerve because I am getting pains in my lower back and in my legs.

HI Michele, Well i've been on bed rest anyway as my pregnancy hasn't been going very well for a while now. To be honest with you all i know is i need to keep myself clean all the time to decrease the chance of infection. The low fluid can affect the baby i've been told it could harm his kidneys and that his face can be all flat and his feet they will most likely need to be fixed when he is born. All very annoy and scary stuff really. I'm a bit scared to ask anymore questions to be honest i think the answers can be more harmful than good. So far both babies are doing well with all of this. Well the girl was ok to begin with she has all her fluid which is great but i have noticed her growth has slowed down. Maybe it's human nature my body is giving more to the boy as he needs it more at the moment who knows i'm only guessing. Wow not long till your little one is here that is wonderful. I wish you total luck on your upcoming birth

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to pop in a say hi. I have only just discovered this thread. I am expecting bubby number 4 on April 5th 2006. So far everything is going really well and I am enjoying being pregnant. It is a bit scary at times though going from 3 to 4 children. Wow, I read about one mummy who has 8!!!! What a housefull. We are hoping for a big family also. Not sure yet though, we will see how things go. DH would like a big family too, it makes wonderful christmas's and get togethers :-)

Hi :)

I hope I am not butting in hear,

I have two children but would love to have a family of four kids

(though I am still undecided as I am having a difficult time adjusting to having a toddler going though the terrible two's and a 6 month old with severe gastro reflux and renal reflux. - I am just having a difficult time implementing a routine - it doesnt help that DH has been sick for the last year and he is worse than the two kids at making a mess and on next to no income at present!! - oh btw any hints would be greatly accepted on how to cope ;p )

I was just replying to the discussion about problems with the birth of the third baby. I can clearly remember my midwife tell me when I was delivering my second that it is always the first and third that are the worst!!! - dont ask me why but she did make the comment so it sounds like it is a common problem!!! *EEEEKK* - this coming from me who wants to have a third!!!!!

I hope all goes well for all mummy and bubby's :)

Hi bohneta,

My DS#3 was the best labour ever!!! I took raspberry leaf tablets from 36 weeks onwards, which are meant to tone your uterus and it worked for me. My DS#1's labour was a grueling 24 hrs, having had pethedine, gas, TENS machine, epidural - THE LOT and also having an episiotomy. My DS#2 was just gas and lasted around 10 hrs. And my DS#3 was only 5 hrs from beginning to end and I even felt like I had a break in between contractions. After labour, I felt that I could go and do it all over again!!!!

Hi,

Welcome to the new mummies to be.

Mel, I am sorry to hear that you having problems with fluid with the babies. Are you on bedrest for the rest of your pregnancy? Do you think they will bring the babies on early because of the problem?

Karen, congratulations on your pregnancy. I am glad your pregnancy is going well for you. I have four kids at the moment with number 5 due in a couple of weeks and still deciding whether to go back for one more or not.

Bohneta, sorry to hear that babs is going through so much discomfort with the reflux problems. My second son had problems with reflux and it was awful. My third labour was quicker than the rest of my births. My waters broke and as soon as I got to hospital I was ready to start pushing, but because babs was posterior and got stuck it took me two hours and a vacumn to get her out.

I have only just over two weeks to my due date. I am getting tired quick and my legs are starting to swell, it is worse when the weather is warmer, which it is starting to warm up here. My obs is going to do an internal on the 1st of November so maybe something will happen that week.

Welcome to all the newly pregnant mums.

Mel, hope you've been able to get some rest. I hope everything works out for you and your babies.

Michele, certainly not long now. Hoping everything goes well for you too.

I'm over the nausea and starting to get a bit of my energy back but my hormones are all over the place. I keep switching between angry and upset for no real reason.

I need to book my 18 week scan soon. A few of the kids in my son's class have come out with chicken pox, I had them years ago but I'm still a little worried at the moment.

Hope everyone is feeling ok.

Lisa

Hello

Michele I just noticed your baby girl is due on 8th November, my DD was due on 8th November too (in 2001) hoping you arent like me and go 9 days over, she was finally born on 17th!! Best wishes for your upcoming labour and birth.

I had my first OB apptmt yesterday and surprise he did a quick U/S to check on baby, and there on the screen was my tiny 2 cm baby, with a heartbeat, and measuring as being due on 5th June (Im due 4th) so pretty close for dates.

I still feel sick, mostly in afternoons and evenings, am on Maxolon 3 times a day to control it and it doesnt look like I'll be developing hyperemesis this time so hopefully by 12-13 weeks I'll be feeling better!

I have my 12 week scan on 21st November so fingers crossed all will be well!

Better go, being on the computer makes me feel sicker!

Take care

Hello ladies,

Well I have my happy bit of news that my bubba is growing away nicely, and the haemotoma is shrinking. My body is reabsorbing it, sounds a bit yuck I know, but I don't really care how it goes, I just want my bub to be safe! So, when I asked my doc what the chances of M/C are now, he said no more than the next person. And he also said that because bub had a healthy heartbeat at 8w1d, that my chances have dropped to 1%, or something very reassuring like that! So I am walking on air right now :)

And yes, most of you have probably already read this around the place (in Due in June, and Lara's thread), but I can't get over feeling so relieved, so I have posted it everywhere :p

Anyway, now that I have embraced the fact that I will have a healthy baby in 7 months or less, I went and bought myself a Belly Belt today. I have got a pot belly happening already, and my pants are getting uncomfortable. I am hoping it will se me through the next month or two (Gawd, for $33 you'd hope so!) and then I'll buy some maternity clothes. I just feel a bit funny buying maternity pants already, I'm not even 9 weeks yet LOL!

Kylie, everytime I read about your symptoms, I just can't believe the similarities. I am also hoping it will ease off at the 12 week mark, or thereabouts. For me, evenings are the worst too. When I wake up I actually feel great (while still in bed), but once I actually get up it goes downhill from there :( I have been eating eating eating to keep the nausea at bay, I am going to be soooo fat by the time I get past this M/S if I keep eating the way I do. That's probably more the reason why I need the belly belt, not because of the baby LOL, but because I am getting porky!

And the Beef Vindaloo curry I craved for tea is not sitting right ATM, I am about to scramble the rest of the kids to bed so I can vomit alone if need be! (DH is working tonight)

Michele, thanks so much for your kind words when I was depressed. It really meant something. I wish you all the best for the "home straight", not long for you now. I am so anxious when I get to the last few weeks, I am trying hypnotherapy to visualise the perfect birth and help my body along. My labours are always a screaming, crying, painful occassion in those last few moments, I am hoping for a peaceful birth this time.

Mel I hope that everything sorts itself out for your little bubs, how long do you think they'll let you go? Hopefully your babies can get as much in utero time as possible! Take it easy, and I'm thinking of you. Not long now anyway, even if you are on bedrest!

Lisa, good to see the nausea has subsided! I am still waiting for that wonderful moment, I have been hungover for the past 5 weeks :(

The hormones would be normal I think, I get really teary, and it lasts the WHOLE pregnancy, especially when I see newborn babies, or mothers giving birth. I am also really snappy with the kids, although DH tells me that I am always like that (yeh right, he just loves the sympathy he gets when people think he's married to a nutter ;p )

I snapped at my 8 year old before for asking if she could have a piece of Fritz just before tea! Afterwards I thought I could've been nicer! She looked a bit shocked, but got over it, and now I feel really bad :(

Neen, LOL at how it drags when you find out early! I got my BFP when I was only 8 DPO! I agree those first few weeks are a horrible drag, but I have to admit it is going rather quickly now. Hope you speed though the first trimester with no more M/S!

Well I must go and shower now, in an attempt to make myself feel better! Take care everyone.

Hi,

I have not posted for a while, I am 10 weeks now and am eating stacks as it stops the sick feeling. With the others I was usually so busy vomiting that I did not have time to eat. I feel so fat I think I must have put on ten kilos, I am wearing Maternity clothes now but not cause of my tummy I have just put on so much weight I don't fit into my other clothes.

I am feeling really horrible at the moment, I just want to sleep all day long, and I really would if I got the chance, I am really snappy at the kids (they don't know about the baby yet, as we don't want the whole world to know yet) and have extremely bad pregnancy brain, I drove home from our local shopping centre the other day and got lost on the way  (I have been going to the same shopping centre for 5 years!!)

I told DH the other day that I am never doing this again and he laughed at me and said that is what I say every time round. :confuse:

I hope that all those that are due soon are not to uncomfortable and you are able to get some rest. Looking forward to hearing some good news soon.

Neen ~ Congrats :)

Tamsin ~ That is great to hear that your haematoma is reabsorbing. I have a scan in a few weeks to see what my haematoma is doing. I'm pretty positive since I've only had 1 major bleed since 11 weeks (now 17 wks) Fingers crossed anyway.

Great to hear you sounding upbeat. I remember how scary all the wondering is.

Sarah ~ Hope the m/s subsides soon. All I did was lay around too...well as much as you can with 3 other littlies to take care of.

My 1st 2 pregnancies I breezed through. 3rd and this one are a bit more a struggle. I said no more after this one but my husband just looks at me like Ok, whatever you say lol.

Hi everyone,

Lisa, I think it is the season for the chicken pox because chicken pox is going around my kids school and preschool. Three out of four of my kids have already had the chicken pox, only my youngest hasn't as yet. My three oldest had the chicken pox when I was pregnant with Jayden. Lisa are you going to find out the sex of your baby at the 18 week u/s or are you going to wait?

Honeyblonde, I am having an internal on the 2nd of November and my obs is hoping that it will be favourable and it will start things going, otherwise I will be admitted to hospital that night and induced the next day. So hopefully Thursday the 3rd or Friday the 4th I will be holding my baby girl. Honeyblonde I am glad your morning sickness is fading and hoping in a few weeks that it will have disappeared.

Neen, sorry to hear you are getting morning sickness, I am hoping that it will soon disappear. With regarding finding out early, I virtually knew the day that I conceived with this one and I had to be patient because I got a sharp pain in one side of my stomach. I had to wait until my periods were due to find out for sure. It seemed like an eternity.

Tasmin, I am very glad that your haematoma is shrinking. Regardings labour I am dreading it because my last two labours have been difficult because they have been posterior and the 2nd stage has been a nightmare. The doctor has told me this one will probably turn posterior again but this bub is not as heavy as her siblings so it could be a easier birth. I have to wait and see.

Sarah, It is getting a bit uncomfortable at the moment because we are in a middle of a heatwave and it is so hot and humid. It is just making me so tired.

Michele

Mother of Christopher, Luke, Melissa, Jayden and baby girl hopefully will be here on the 3rd or 4th November

Just a quick post from me, we have alot going on here at the moment, just got back from John Hunter from having an amniocentesis done, I got a phone call from the maternity ward on Tuesday saying that my blood test came back as a high risk of Downsydrome, from 1 in 300 to 1 in 137 so I had to go on Friday to have the amnio done, wasnt much fun I tell you now I have to wait 10 -21 days for results, My mil is having a ball asking questions and giving advice.

Anyway I got to go lightening here and a thunderstorm will post when I have results.

Yes Kylie I remember you :-)

Our kids are DD(3 1/2) DS(21mths) & DS(5 1/2 mths). Number 4 will be due in early July 06.

We're very excited but I'm also just quietly freaking out a tiny bit. lol

If anyone has any good car recommendations, I'd love to hear.

Hope everyone is doing well.

We love our Tarago! In fact, we were slightly saddened by

the fact, that with the thought that we might need another car.

I'm due with #7 July 4, 2006 ( which is very exciting). But DH

has some idea that we might be able to get our beloved

Tarago altered? The quote he recived , by fax, was rather

$$$. Not sure if it is worth it, but we will keep looking. The

VW 9 seater is another one we may have to consider.

Hi Lucky Pregnant Ladies!

I'm Kate, and I'm 6 weeks pregnant with # 4, we're due on July 1st.

We'll be needing a new car too. But we're in the catch 22 situation that we can't get a loan for a cheap car/4wd because we both have Centrelink incomes plus a part time job, we can only get a loan for an after 96 model from a dealership, which will be over $15000- which is nice in one way, but not in the repayments! So we're looking at either a Pajero or a Prado, but we've got ages before we need to buy one, so we'll just get thru Christmas first then save for a deposit!

Congrats to all the pregnant mums, this is so exciting even though we've all done it so many times before!

x Kate
