Still in shock, still dont know quite what to think, but have started looking at baby names. Its all still a bit numb really, I hope the shock wears off soon and I can start getting excited.

Take care

Kylie, I hope you recover from the shock soon, i'm still waiting to get over mine! One minute i'm sad and wishing I was just grateful for the three I have and was more careful, the next i'm talking names and reading up on bubs development. My emotions are so over the top this time. Everything has been more pronounced this pregnancy, the morning sickness, tiredness, skin breakouts, hunger and oh yeah my belly.... I don't know either my stomach muscles have absolutely no tone or I am growing a baby elephant! I already look obviously pregnant when usually I am waiting for my belly to swell. Anyway better go, its 30 degrees here and the troops are getting restless waiting to go swimming...

Hi,

Welcome to all new mummies, I know it is a shock when you find out you are pregnant. I was sort of expecting it and not expecting it because it took only 2 months to fall pregnant this time when my others it took longer to fall. Also I thought once you got older it took longer to fall pregnant but this was not the case with me.

Bec, every pregnancy is different. The reason you might feel the way you feel is that the baby might be in a different position to all of your other kids, you might be carrying higher and the baby is sitting up near your digestive system and lungs which means it is harder to get air into your lungs. I found that this baby that sometimes I have to stop what I am doing because I am breathless as well.

Only 5 weeks to go and the countdown is on. My kids can not wait until they meet this baby especially Melissa because she is finally going to get a sister to play with.

Hi girls I'm currently pg with #4 a very unexpected surprise. I like alot of others am still getting used to the idea then it dawned on me the other day that I actually have to deliver another baby. (well derrrr)

The problem is I had what you call typical third baby syndrome during the birth of DS#3. It took me seven hours to dialate 5cms and it was pretty horrible and then he was born within 40mins. I just want some reassurance that the fourth is better than the third. My second was brilliant and if I could choose I would choose it again but you can't.

I hope everyone is having a good day today

STELLA - I can't believe you are 10 weeks already.

Make sure you smile today,

Natalie

RLC : Hi, I'm just lurking here (I have 3, and want #4) anyway, what do you mean about 3rd baby syndrome ?. I've never heard of it, but it sounds like me. My third birth was really long and it took ages to dilate where as my first was 6 hrs (fully dilated after 30 min) and the 2nd was 3 hours (fully dilated after 30 min also). The second was the best birth by far. Just interested to know !!

Hello ladies,

Mind if I join in?

I am currently pg with #5. I think that I am one of the few that is actually crazy enough to have planned this baby, everyone else seems to have lovely suprises!

For those who don't know me, I miscarried last August, and we fell pg again the month after. I am currently 5w5d, and booked in from an u/s tomorrow to check on the development, and also to see how many little people are in there (HCG levels from 16DPO and 18DPO are in the high range).

My due date is the 3rd of June. Even though it may change tomorrow when I have my u/s.

Looking forward to chatting to you over the coming months....I noticed that there are a lot of us "newbies", after the BFP influx in this board LOL! It's great to chat to other mums who have been-there-done-that many times before aswell, it's a nice change from the first time mums who don't seem to always have the same issues.

Chat soon,

There is alot of new mum's to be, I am going to my first OB appointment next thursday 13th October and I have had to wait 8 weeks to get there, I dont know about any one else but this seems to be along time to wait maybe it is just me been impatient but I am happy the time is almost here and I can get bub checked to make sure it is o.k. So debbie if you can make appointments and get in fast u are going well!

How did your U/S go Tamsin hope all went well, I cant wait to see my bub agian, I had an U/S at 8 weeks to make sure there is only 1 there and thank goodness there is and I had an U/S when I was 14 weeks due to a scare with some bleeding and bub was fine and sucking its thumb looked so cute,So I am hoping all went well with your U/S.

Hello crazymumtobe I remember you from Due in Jan 04 group!! (my username was Kylieanne then) I think we also exchanged pm's a few months or so ago too, here I am (accidentally) pregnant with number 4!!

Hope your OB apptmt goes well, are you having the 18-22 week scan soon? Are you finding out the sex?

We have decided to find out the sex this time (found out with baby #1 and #2, but surprise for #3) as it will make it easier organising bedrooms and deciding who will share. Also hopefully help in picking a name, I am shocking, took me 5 days after DS #2 was born to finally find him a name!

Well, no symptoms other than peeing lots, and today my tummy feels so heavy and bloated, roll on the 6 week mark and lets see if the m/s kicks in or not.

Hope you are all feeling well.

Take care

Hi girls,

well the u/s wasn't exactly a success :(

I have a large bleed (subchorionic hematoma), in my uterus which is larger than the baby's sac.

The plus side is bub is pretty spot on for size (5w6d by ovulation and measures at 5w5d on u/s so pretty close). And there was a strong little heart beating away. I am playing the waiting game, but worried sick that I will lose another little bubba.

I am about to pick up my u/s films, so hopefully the report will have more details on there. Will be trying to see a doctor tonight (don't care which one) and try to work out what should be done.

Take care ladies.

Welcome to all the new mums who have joined.

I'm feeling so exhausted lately. Not so much m/s any more but doing anything makes me tired. Maybe having 3 others has something to do with that.

Tamsin ~ I hope everything is ok. I have a subchorionic haematoma as well. Its been a pretty scary time. Sometimes the haematoma just reabsorbs back into your body further along in pregnancy so hoping that happens with you as well.

Debbie (Cheyanna3) ~ My 3 and your youngest 3 are of similar ages. Tyson 6, Jacob 4, Kiana 16 mths and I'm due April 06 as well :)

Did everyone's labours get shorter with each baby?

I'm a bit scared with this one, my last labour was 3 hours all up. I'm worried I won't make it to the hospital on time.

I go back to the hospital on Monday to see one of the doctors and I'll find out if I'm classed as a high risk pregnancy. Of course I hope I'm not but we'll see.

Hope everyone's feeling ok.

Lisa

Hi all,

I am due in May next year. I told my first "Real" person about the baby this week (my brother) and was really saddened by his reply of "Well, you have really got your self in a mess haven't you". I was really disappointed with him, we planned this baby and have been trying for a while, so why can't he be happy for us? It really makes me not want to tell any one else.

Hi Tasmin, sorry to here that things are not going well for you I hope they improve soon. Let us know how you are going, I have been thinking about you and hoping you are ok.

I have started to feel really tired and sick in this last week, at the moment I am happy that I am still able to get out of bed, as past pregnancy's I haven't.

I am happy with how it is going and hoping that all you other ladies are well. (and not having to go to the toilet as much as me AARRGH)

Have a nice day

Sarah

crazyM&D that's a real downer of a comment isn't it...

easier said than done but put on your grin and leave them with their negativity - and spend your time with people who will be happy for you... :) (like us lot lol! ;p )

Hope those of you who have m/s have it ease up soon...

Tamsin hope good news is on your side...

So sorry Sarah (crazyM&D) to hear your brothers comments that is exactly why I am starting to worry about telling my parents, I know my brother won't care, he is young only 23 and will be happy, my sister I have told already as she lives quite nearby and will notice me getting bigger, plus I knew she would be the one person who will be genuinely happy for us, when I was umming and aahing over whether to have #4 she was the one saying, "go on, you know you're gonna have one more, do it do it!!" But my parents are a different story we didnt get much enthusiasm at all about #3 and my mother has made many comments over the past year about how mad and stupid I would be to have 4 kids (mind you this is coming from the woman who always says how much she regrets not trying for #4 and wishes she had 4 kids, so go figure!!)

My father will grumble and moan probably mostly behind my back, about how stupid we are and how will we afford it (quite easily actually but they won't believe that!)

DH's family will probably not care much either way, they will be happy but they also are not very close-knit and make no effort to see the kids now, and are also moving next year to the very top of the state.

My maternal grandmother will probably say something hurtful (without thinking like old people tend to) but my paternal grandmother will be happy as she has 4 of her own and told me how lovely it was recently.

I think its really only my parents reaction that I am worried about as they are the most close to me so it will hurt the most, but I'm thinking of trying to keep it quiet until Xmas Day and just turning up for Xmas dinner with my little preggy belly (I will be 17 weeks) they can't say anything nasty and ruin Xmas!!

Anyway Sarah I hope you have some family and friends who are happy for you, maybe you should have a chat to your brother and explain how he hurt you, and that you planned this baby, otherwise you may resent him for his insensitivity.

Congrats to Mysticalmum4 see you in the Due in June thread! Do you have all boys? Bet you're dreading those stupid comments from strangers about "oh you must be trying for a girl, you poor things having all those boys" etc.... dont know whats so horrible about having boys!!

Tamsin Did you find anything else out about your bubs and the haematoma, I wonder if that is what I have as each pregnancy I spot bleed early on and then later on too, last pregnancy there was a mass of blood in my uterus too at 9 weeks, from losing a twin, it didnt all come away (I did have some bleeding for a week) but at the 18 week U/S it was gone. Hope it clears itself up, try to keep your mind busy so you dont keep focusing on it and stressing too much!

Well I am 6 weeks and 1 day and usually vomiting for Australia by this stage, but not even nauseous, no vomiting, nothing except hungry churny feeling, have to eat frequently!! Hope it stays that way!

Take care

Hi,

Congratulations Neen, on your pregnancy I hope everything goes alright.

Tasmin, I sorry to hear about your bleed, I hope everything is alright now.

To everyone, I hope you are all well and the morning sickness is not getting you down. Thankfully I hardly had any morning sickness with this pregnancy.

I have only four weeks to go now and it will probably drag on. Feeling exhausted at the moment especially with the kids on holidays. Thankfully they are back at school tomorrow. I am on weekly visits now so hopefully it will not be long now.
