I think Dh is coming around. :) He said we'll see to TTC next year. :) Think I should've got it written in blood though. :)

Take care & hope the m/s eases for you pregnant ladies soon. :)

HI Girls

Can I join? I have 3 kiddies (obviously) Sam is 4, Ethan will be 2 next week and Audrey is 5 1/2 months. DH is very much opposed to anymore which I can appreciate and I don't want to go back yet but when the kiddies start going to school I can see myself crumbling and wanting another baby to love and hold. I just don't like the thought of that part of my life is over does that make sense, I always said I would have my 3 kids by the time I was 30 which I have managed but now I think I am still so young and I have all these years ahead of me that I can still breed in lol.

Anyway sorry to ramble congrats to those of you who have made the leap (intentionally or not) recently enjoy.

Bonny if you want somewhere you can feel good about having a large family, it's here. But be warned!!! Once in we don't let you out without a BFP!!! Well that's how it's starting to look anyway, even when we get the BFP we still hang around! Seriously though this thread has been a great place of support for me and I am so inspired by some of the mums in the Large Family area.

Hi Girls,

Well I figure I should ask here as you all obviously the experts!!

"So, REALLY, How hard are 3 kids and would you suggest a 2 or 3yr age gap between #2 and #3???????"

Here's the dilemma......hubby and I always wanted 2 kids and lucky us, we now have them and love them to bits (well most days anyway..lol!) We have a girl, just turned 3 and boy just turned 1, but I just don't have that 'completed' feeling that you're supposed to get. Despite yukky morning sickness with both, I just loved being pregnant and truly I can't imagine not going through it again. The practical side of me says, be happy and stop with the 2 we have. We have one of each (not that that matters), I've given birth both ways (c/s and the VBAC) so in my head I think I should feel 'done'. But I don't!!!!!!! DH and I are both from 2 kid families. Deep in my family tree there is hisory of Down's (as in 50+ years ago) so my Mum says I should be thankful for 2 healthy kids and leave it at that. Only prob is I can't just turn away these feelings I have. Even at my 6wk checkup with DS, my OB joked and said 'so is that it' and he laughed when I just couldn't give a definate answer! WHAT TO DO???? I know DH will be happy to go again, so that's not a problem. I know I'd just have to give him the hint and he'd say 'whatever you want'..LOL! But then I sit back and think so how much extra will a 3rd cost etc etc. 2 just seems easier... tickets for things are always 2Adults/2Kids, but hey, just means we would have to get a 'Family ticket plus 1 extra child please'!

Another major drama is that at age 31 I don't have my driver's licence. Its just a fear I've had forever and I know having 3 kids will mean I can't keep relying on people to get us around and I WILL have to get it...YUCK. It scares the hell out me.

Also means our spare room which has the computer and bits and pieces would become bub's room and god knows where everything else would go.

But, what if I still have this feeling after 3 kids. I mean we have to draw the line somewhere...can't keep on popping them out forever...LOL!!

ARRGGG!! I'm stressin' about it all now because if we do the 2yr gap again, we have to start TTC'ing soon.

Ok...sorry for rambling. I'm so confused. Did any of you girls have this same feeling after nbr 2 or did you always know you were going to have 3??

I know I would just love being pregnant 'just 1 more time'. I miss it all, the kicks, the visits to my wonderful OB, the ultrasounds etc etc.

Gee I could go on forever......anyone have any tips, helpful advice? Please send it my way if you do!!

THANKS, from the clucky one!

Cheers,

Me

Hi girls

Damn! I should have posted before Juzzy to make me #4. Stupid omens!

Kylie - I wouldn't worry that the lines aren't getting darker. I read on a website about HPTs that some women use them for this purpose, to see if HCG levels are increasing, but that it is really not a good indication because so many things can affect the result. Just because the line is no darker does not necessarily mean that there is not a higher level of HCG. And even if there is not a higher level of HCG in your urine, does not mean that there is not a higher level in your blood. You're a scientist, you know that! Anyway, soon you'll be chucking your little heart out and I'm sure you'll feel much better (not).

Juzzy - next year's not too far away now. And by then you'll probably have reached your goal weight (which was something I was supposed to do before TTC-lol) so pg will be so much easier.

Bonny - welcome. Your feelings will be well understood here. I also had my kids young, and I think one of the issues that arises is that you have all those fertile years ahead of you. If you read back through our threads you'll notice that many a DH has been made to change his mind, one way or another-lol.

Stella -

Once in we don't let you out without a BFP!!!

PMSL. You are getting sleepy.... you are under our spell...

Kezzazkids - welcome to you, too. It's unlikely that anyone in here will tell you to stop at 2! #3 was a surprise for us and now we are trying for #4, so look out. Seriously, some of your issues would need to be overcome (such as the driver's license) however if you look back through our threads you'll notice that lots of us have small houses etc, and I doubt that anyone in the large families section would say that they are really wealthy and can "afford" lots of kids. In the past, I have always found that some issues seemed insurmountable, but then I "fell" pg and found resolutions pretty quickly. That's probably not the smartest policy, but it's always worked for me, necessity being the mother of invention and all. Anyway, enjoy your journey.

Well, temps still up - yay. DH is forgiven after some major sucking up plus some sleep on my part. I'm blaming the hormones. He just popped out to the hardware store and brought back an early HPT (first response plus - anyone used?). He said "well, I know you're going to send me out for them later in the week anyway" - lol. So much for my resolve not to test. Let's see how long I can look at it without opening it.

So sad about Bali. Hope noone in here is affected.

Have great weeks everyone

Julia

Helloooooooo?

Where did everybody go :confuse:

Looks like those pregnancy germs scared everyone off! :8o:

Well I am okay, not sick (touch wood) and just very tired and exhausted. Finally got into see a female GP who specialises in womens health, that Ive been wanting to see for ages (was going to see her to ask if she knew anything about hyperemesis and how my possible 4th pregnancy might be better managed, but too late now!! so will see her about my pregnancy now) so I see her on Thurs, hopefully she can also officially confirm my pregnancy too.

How are all the fence sitters, anyone else fallen off (either willingly or otherwise  )

Hope you are all well, hey Julia any news.....?

Take care

Hi Ladies, Can I join in ?. I am 31 (OMG Nearly 32) have three wonderful children. DS(6), DD(4) & DS(19months), and you guessed it... want another...NOW ! So...I want #4 but......DH Doesn't :(

He really doesn't, not even if we won tattslotto !

So should I just accept it, or regret it for the rest of my life. I'm coping fine with the three, I know it would be alot harder with 4, but I'm scared that in 10 years time I am going to regret not having more. I would love seven!. However, I ADORE my DH and would rather have him than more children !!

Have any of you been in this situation ?.

Thanks. Vix.

Hi everyone,

I haven't posted here for about a week or so. I haven't caught up on the old thread so briefly a big congrats to those newly pregnant!

Welcome to the new members too!

Not really much to report here, I have a cross cutting teething little girl at the moment, with teeth #3, 4 and 5 making their way down all over the place! I have just got her to sleep now after lots of grizzles. Normally she is a brillian sleeper!

Around April we hope to start ttc #4! I still cannot believe we are going for 4! Very exciting! So in the new year we are looking at getting a new car, a people mover of course! We are starting to do some research on which car would better suit us! I like the territory but DH hates fords....he's a holden man! I am probably thinking though it may be a tarago we'll end up getting, it depends on the space at the very back! Should be fun looking around though!

I am currently trying to lose weight before we start ttc and have now lost 2 kg towards my 15 kg goal, its been hard to actually lose just 1kg but after changing my snacking habbits and alittle more exercise it looks like my efforts are finally working.

Ok must head off to bed, I presuming my little girl will wake a few times in the night because of these teeth!

Hi Girls

Sorry I haven't posted in ages too busy with school holidays. Not too much has changed for us except the other night DH comes out with and I quote 'Well I think its inevitable(sp) that we'll have number 4'

I nearly fell off my chair. He's not ready to make a definite decision but will have by christmas. He's certainly made a turn around. But of course now its a sortof green light I'm going, 'Do I really want to do this?' Maybe we should just throw caution to the wind and what happens happens. I just don't want to regret not having number 4 in ten years time. But of course don't know how I'll feel in ten years.

I was with a friend today who has two beautiful DD's. (Cluck, cluck)Not a good day to make a decision.

Welcome to all you newcomers and good luck making a decision.

Hope all you pregnant ones are feeling fabulous.

Have a good night girls.

Jayne your post made me laugh because when my dh started warming to having #4 I started to second guess having another one. It was like I pushed him until he came around and then I was like "do I really want another one". With my dh and I it just depends on what sort of a day we are having as to how we feel. We still talk about having another a lot but still haven't come to a firm decision. Part of us wants to take the plunge and then we'll have a bad day and think we are crazy for considering another one.

I hate not knowing what the future holds, I want to know right now whether we will have one more, but my dh is more relaxed and is happy just see. He still wants the same spacing as we have had with the others, so we would be looking at trying in 6 months if we go ahead.

How are all our pregnant mums going, I am happy for you and even more glad that you have been able to come to the decision of having another baby.

Welcome to our new comers as well. Good luck with your decision, you will love it here. I hope no one goes back and forth more than I do LOL.

Edited to fix a spelling mistake.

Just a quick one before Kath & Kim start.

Kristy - No you're not nosey at all. Actually that's exactly what I asked him and he just sort of fudged his way around not answering me directly. Will have to get more direct ut am determined to find out. I suspect its that in the last few months we have realised that we need to upgrade our falcon to a tarago so that DS has more space away from DDs and for his legs... and so that has taken the "we'll have to get a new car" arguement away and he is just about to start a new job that pays alot more so I think that has taken away his worry of paying for 4 lots of private school fees.

Rach - I know exactly how you feel. I have good days and bad days too. Wish I could sort out whether I want to put my body through the whole birth bit or not. I'm pretty sure I can handle the 4 kid bit..

Have to go. I'm a Kath & Kim tragic.

Hi girls

Kristy - say what?! Could you give us a date or something to work towards? Congratulations - maybe. I have a pair set of tweezers if you want to start pulling those splinters out now.

Kylie and Lara - settle, settle. I'm only 7dpo, so way too early to test - or is it.... I am really tired, sore (.Y.) and weeing a lot - actually not so much more frequent but more urgent IYKWIM. It could seriously be all in my imagination, though. Just give me a few more days and I'll have something for you, hopefully.

Kylie - hope the m/s stays away and that you continue to feel well.

Vix - a very big welcome to you. Enjoy your stay in this lovely thread. Don't worry, my DH said EXACTLY the same thing (even the bit about Tatts) and now look at us.

Natalie - oh you poor thing, teething is not much fun, not to mention what it does to them! Just hold on to the thought that "this too will pass".

Mel - a big welcome to you too. I am also TTC after a miscarriage last month. We were originally planning to ttc in Dec, but after our "accident" knew we couldn't wait any longer. Hopefully we can be pg buddies.

GW - feel free to drop in. Sometimes we wishful thinkers need to hear from someone who's been there.

Jane - woohoo! I understand what you mean. After DH agreed, I actually had to think about it a bit more too. After longing for it and feeling regretful for so long, all of a sudden it was REAL. Sometimes life has a way of removing those little obstacles for us, and all of a sudden something that didn't seem possible has new light shed upon it.

Rach - hang in there. You still have 6 months of wavering to make your deadline (but I'm just quietly confident that you'll fall on the yes side of the fence).

LA Babe - I used to answer people like that. Then one day, I just starting saying "maybe, we haven't made a definite decision one way or the other", which became, "oh yeah, we'll probably have one more", which has brought me to where I am today - lol.

Okay, I think I'm up to date with personals. Now I have to go wee before I burst!

Hello girls, and wow, look at all those new girls, welcome!! :) Looks like the pregnancy germs in this thread have made it even more popular, LOL!!

I am still well, have a bit of a dry retch in the morning and then I'm fine, no nausea (touch wood) just tired, I'll be 6 weeks on Sat I think so that will be the milestone, as that is when the m/s usually kicks in for good. have had some teeny tiny slight pale pink discharge but had that (actaully had worse, lots of bleeding/spotting with my last 2 pregnancies) so trying not to stress about it, although its very hard not to. I am finally seeing a GP today to get my pregnancy confirmed and talk about my options re: shared care/OB and what to do to manage my hyperemesis if it occurs again. I am just hoping the baby is ok after the high fevers and all the meds I had been taking, can't wait for that 12 week U/S to reassure me it has 2 legs/2 arms/1 head/healthy/no downs syndrome/spina bifida etc.

Julia Symptoms sound very promising, remember how early on I had them and everyone was telling me its IPS (imaginary pregnancy symptoms) I was weeing more too, but more so the urgency as you described, just wasnt possible to 'hang on' and wait to go to the loo, I had to go NOW! Will be waiting for your results!!

Kristy Whooo hooo, so DH is coming around huh?

Good luck with finishing Uni, it is so exciting when you finally finish, mine was 4 years (full-time) and boy was I so glad when it was over, I screamed when I got my results before I even opened the envelope because it was really thick (good sign as it means you passed and all the paperwork about the graduation ceremony etc is in there) and I could just see through the envelope the words .."graduation ceremony will be on 26th May...." and I knew I'd passed, I think I actually cried (I'm a big sook) cos I knew my parents would be so proud! OMG I'm getting all teary now thinking about it and it was 8 years ago, well, can you tell Im preggers!! LOL I'm hopeless.

Better go, we are also off to Wizard home loans today to put in our application to get out home loan refinanced, pay out our 2 credit cards (and cut themn up!) and use some of our equity to buy that 7 seater car!! wow!! scary! Its all getting a bit real!

Take care

Hi girls

Kristy - 2007 sounds so far off, but you know how quickly that will go. My very dear friends were married on 27th February, and their's is a match made in heaven, so perhaps it's an omen. We have so much in common, DH and I started going out together when I was 14 and he was 15, and we got married when I was 20 and he was 22, so we have now been together 18.5 years and recently celebrated our 12th anniversary.

Kylie - how did you go at the Drs and with the loan. Hope everything was good for you. Tomorrow's D-day, so hopefully the m/s will stay away.

I have been so exhausted today. I just wanted to go back to bed all day and could hardly concentrate on anything. I'm hoping this is a good sign. Hopefully, I'll have some good news soon.

Hope all are well.

Julia
