SILVER!

Tracey - I'm glad Declan is on the mend. Hope you're getting some rest.

After a few good nights sleep with Ryder he has picked up a cold again and is so very sniffly and not sleeping well at all :( We hve a 40th bday to go to tonight so I hope he isn't a miserable boy all night at the party. It's DH's brothers bday so he will no doubt be enjoying a few too many beers while I'm on kiddy watch...

I'll take the booby prize.

So tired last night, went to bed at 9 and slept until Jarvis woke for a feed around 4.30. Then I slept until Carter woke me at 8am. Boy I needed that. Just been to the gym and feeling much better and reenergised.

Jarvis trying so hard to roll onto his stomach from his back. He spends all the time lying on his side kicking his legs to move him over. He's already rolling from his stomach to back. And I'm 90% sure that he is teething already. Carter got his 1st tooth at 4m and I think that Jarvis is getting some pain from them moving around under his gums. I HATE teething with a passion.

Better jump in the shower and get some lunch. Half the day is gone already.

Hi girls! Have been having some pc issues here - my laptop has decided to stop working  So am on DH's laptop atm, but a bit hard to get time on it as he is addicted to gaming! So, might have to see if the laptop would be much to fix, and in the meantime I have connected the Aaliya's PC to the internet so I can still get on

Tina - yes, a good night sleep can do wonders  I agree on the teething front - Isla's 4th tooth has just come through, she was so clingy and miserable for a week. I hope Jarvis's teeth don't give him too much pain. Well done on the running too :D

Tracy - Declan is so cute! I'm pretty sure Isla started smiling really early too, so I'm sure Declan is :) Melts your heart, doesn't it!

Well done on all the place getters

Sue - has Mark had his scan yet? I hope everything is alright, you have been through enough lately! :hugs:

Karen - how are you chick, haven't heard much from you lately? Hope everything is okay, and you are just taking a break from the PC!

Hmm, I can't remember anything else from the last thread! All is well in our house - all the sickness has finally gone! Although I had Aaliya at the chiro yesterday (I noticed one of her strokes in backstroke was a bit wonky) and the chiro noticed Aaliya's lymph nodes were still up a bit. So she might still be fighting a virus (she had the flu last week). Here's hoping we don't get another round of colds/flu's/sore throats here!

Okay, better get back to my lazy Sunday (have already had a nana nap  ). Time for a coffee!

Linda

Hi girls,

Tracy - Glad you and Declan are home and doing well. :) Very cute pics!

Ange - What is a baby cocoon? Probably a silly question.

Linda - I hope you all stay well for a long time now the sickness is gone!

Thanks to everyone for the belly comments. Sophie said to me last night "why is your bottom getting fat?". I'm not even going to look, lol. I don't want to know about it.

I am so very tired right now. I really just want to go to sleep but the cleaner comes tomorrow so I need to pick up all the junk that is lying about  I don't want to - can you tell?

A question for the mums with newborns since JanuaryWhat documentation etc did you need to claim the 5K baby bonus? I went to have a look online and there is so much to wade through I thought it might be best to ask you guys instead. Do you need payslips or what? Is it taxable income and if it is are there calculators to work it out? It seems quite complicated working with a 6 month time frame. TIA

OMG what a weekend, Declan now has Gastro. He has been so unsettled and getting tummy pains with bad poo's. Was going to take him back to hospital this arvo but he improved with having a half a hour b/feed from me at 5.30pm and no tummy pains since or poo's. So going to see how he goes next feed and go from there. He has had wet nappies all day so its been so hard to know what to do.

I am off to bed now. Declan keeps on the improve and continues to feed good.

A question for the mums with newborns since January??

You get a form to fill in a envelope that is with the bounty bag when bub is born. It said you need payslip but Chris didn't need to show them when he handed the form in. You also have to write down your taxable income for the next 6 months I think. We never found it that hard to fill out but we are on low income and don't have any other income either to declare. Then Chris just went and handed it in to Centrelink. Also you need to register you babies birth and show centrelink you have filled it out and just about to send it off. :) Hope that makes sense.

Well off to bed now.

A question for the mums with newborns since January??

It's really simple and nothing to stress about. The most problems we had was with income from our rental properties as I had to work out all the stuff about loan repayments, rent, council rates etc.

Cocoon - It's something that you knit on a loom which you use for newborn photoshhots. I made one for Jarvis. You can also make beanies and scarves on the loom. Lots of fun and very addictive.

Just been to the gym and came home and Deakin and Carter were in bed and Jarvis had just finished a bottle. Usually it's chaos when I get home on a Monday night. He's just had a topup breastfeed so I'm going to have an early night.

Hey girls

DH has had the last three days off and we've had such a great time. Started on friday night when I went out for a girls night  Then we've been out and about with the kids, lunches, dinners, visiting friends. It's just been so enjoyable and relaxing.

We are giving our loungeroom a mini makeover (on the cheap  ) I'm buying a friend's lounge suite ($250 much nicer than the one we have) and we are buying a sofa bed ottoman to match to cater for the ILs when they stay. Also got new curtains today  Just need to get the filthy carpet cleaned now (and then I'll get a dyson  ) This all started yesterday when my friend rang to see if I wanted her lounge, so it's a bit unexpected lol.

Tracy Sorry to hear that Declan is still doing it tough :( poor little guy. Hope you get a break soon.

Kristy Cheeky thing, Sophie is lol. Your bum didn't look big to me in that pic you posted ;)

Linda Are you still stealing Aaliya's computer, hehe. It's nice when you get a break from the colds (even if it's only a week!)

Tina Wow Jarvis is rolling already! I hope his teething isn't too painful - Tobias got his first around four months and we're still suffering waiting on his last molar  I cooked that chicken casserole tonight that you cooked the other week. Very nice and DH liked it too.

Cookies I hope Ryder's cold doesn't hang around for too long. It's so hard when they can't breathe at night :(

Oops I didn't mean to hit reply yet! Wanted to say hi to Ange :waves: You did a huge post and then the thread closed. Sounds like you're really enjoying your little Luka and independant Georgia  Try not to stress about what you want to do - I'm sure things will fall into place when you need them to. You have so many options, the hardest will be making the decision! Enjoy your time now :)

Lastly Karen I hope you're doing okay :hugs: and just having some time away from the computer.

Heya! :)

Susan – Sorry to hear that Ryder is sick. :( I hope he feels better really soon.

Tracy – I love your piccies, Declan is adorable and Skye looks so proud! :) Poor Declan getting gastro. You’re not having a good run at the moment. :(

Tina – How exciting that Jarvis is trying to roll over! Wasn’t he only just born?! Wowsers! :) Teething is the worst. I’m going through that currently with master O, aswell. He’s getting one of his front top teeth.

Linda – I hope your house stays sickies free! I just kept my 3 away from kinder and playgroup today because of their chesty, phlegmy coughs. So far so good, but I’m expecting boredom to kick in soon.

Kristy – I still can’t believe you’re having number 3! :D It’s so, so exciting! :)

Nat – How exciting to be getting new furniture! It really makes a big difference to how you live. Karen is fine. :) She’s just really busy! Thanks for asking after her. :)

Us – We have been so flat out. We had O’s 1st birthday party on Sunday along with our housewarming. And it was wonderful! I stayed up until 3am on Saturday night/Sunday morning finishing the cakes, I must post some pictures. I got a lot of comments on them and they turned out perfectly! O was a bit overwhelmed by it all though but did well all things considered. He’s starting to take steps and is getting further all the time. I am finding it terribly hard to accept he will be 1 tomorrow! This year has flown for me with the move and all. He will love getting more cake, he can’t get enough of the stuff.

I have kept all the kids home today because they are all sick with some phlegmy sort of chesty cough thing. I’m expecting full on mayhem come lunch time. Blah!

Yesterday we officially got the green light to start trying for our number 4! I am so excited and can’t wait for July. I had talked myself into him saying that it won’t be possible so it’s the best possible outcome! He said that he has performed 5 c/s on the one lady before and had no special notes written down about my last delivery. He said the only thing I’ll need to have done is a scan at 34 weeks to check if the placenta is growing into the scar and its position. So we are rapt. :) DH is really ready for this one which is a surprise because he was so hard to convince that 3 was a good idea! It’s amazing how things can change.

Hi girls

Hope everyone is okay and all the sick little ones are feeling better today. We're over the colds/coughs now and now have to wait for Mark's specialist appointment on 15th June  The CT results are a little worrying but hopefully it is just a result of the gastro-type bug he had. I hoped he would be seen earlier but what can you do?

Amelie's going through a 'I hate daycare' phase. Gosh one minutes it's Ryan not wanting to be dropped off at school and now Amelie  We've had lots of tears and on Monday she was sick so I had to leave work and pick her up. She was absolutely FINE at home and the next day with Nanna so I fear there is a little manipulation going on, cheeky little Miss. I'm trying to work out with the carer why she is suddenly getting so upset.

Anyway today is her last day for a while as we are off to Melb on Friday for 3 days (Yo Gabba Gabba on Sat morning  ). Then I have Mon/Tues off work next week.

Melb girls - anywhere decent to eat with kids in Melb CBD?? Trying to avoid the usual junk food outlets. Needs to be within reasonable walking distance from CBD really. Ta!

Mel - how are the kids today? How exciting about TTC again, thrilled for you!!! There is no way on earth I would convince DH to go again lol. HAPPY BIRTHDAY OLLIE!!! What a special day :)

Natw - ooh the mini lounge makeover sounds great! Sounds like you had a lovely 3 days when DH was off work :)

Tina - yay to Jarvis rolling, clever boy. How's he doing with teething, ouchie!

Tracy - how is sweet little Declan doing now? Poor little guy, he's had a rough trot lately. You must be exhausted too!

Kristy - hope you've managed to get a good sleep since your post! LOL at Sophie's comment, you looked just fine in the pic :)

Linda - oh it's stressful when a computer's not working lol. Glad everyone's feeling better now! Thanks for asking about Mark, he had his scan and has been referred back to his specialist but as I mentioned he can't get an appointment until 15/6. We're trying not to think about it until then or consult Dr Google!

Hi to everyone else. Very quiet in here lately :8

Hi girls

Happy 1st Birthday Ollie!! Hope you have a great day.

Mel - How are you enjoying your new house?

Sue - Hope you sort out why Amelie doesn't want to go to daycare soon. Makes dropoffs so hard. Have a great time away, enjoy the YGG show.

Nat - I bet your loungeroom looks great now with the mini makeover. I can't wait to move into our new house and do a whole house makeover.

Kristy - I had to laugh at Sophie's comment. I am sure it's not as big as you think.

Tracy - How is Declan now, recovered from all his illnesses?

Sharyn - How are you going?

I've just taken Jarvis for his 4mo immunisations. He was so good, didn't cry at all and loved the rotavirus liquid. I also had the flushot as I just couldn't cope if I got the flu and had 3 kids to care for.

Here's a silly comment from DH. I bought some skinny leg jeans and told DH and his comment was 'but you're not skinny'. He got a fist in the face for that one :p !! (only gentle but he didn't see it coming)

The other kids are at childcare and kindy all day so I'm just hanging out with Jarvis. Been to the supermarket and going to stay home for the rest of the day. I've promised myself that I wont do anymore packing until the housework is done.

Ciao.

OK now I'm crapping myself! :) My boss (a forensic pathologist, but pathologist first and foremost) thinks we should rethink our plans to go to Melb this weekend due to the *&$(%&(*& swine flu :o Victoria has had a marked increase in no. of cases and that combined with being in a theatre for a couple of hours with lots of kids leads him to believe I should think it through.

We're still going but will take heaps of tissues/antibacterial hand gel. I will have a riot on my hands if I tell the kids we're not going to YGG!!

Ohhh Sue it is a bit scary atm, hey  But if the kids know you're going already, hehe...That sucks waiting till mid June to see Mark's specialist :no2: Try to stay positive and don't stress about what you don't know yet. Thinking of you all :hugs:

Tina C'mon your legs are skinny with all that exercise you do ;) Love your reaction to DH lol. My DH wants me to get some skinny jeans, but I can't stand them so tight on my calves. Loungeroom doesn't look great yet - it's still in the process. I can imagine how much fun you'll have decorating once you move into your new place.

Deb How are you going? And the family?

Stumbles Hope Ollie had a wonderful birthday today  The year goes so fast, doesn't it!! That's great news that you've got the all clear for #4  Hope the kids are better soon.

We went to my sister's today so she could go to see her ob. She's about 37 wks and is starting to have BP problems, so she has been put on meds that make her drowsy. She's had a good run until now but it's hard to run a busy household when she needs to rest. Her two youngest (5&2) are going to stay with us from thurs night till sat, just to make it a bit easier for her.

Hannah has her interview tomorrow afternoon for school next year. It's very exciting. We're going to a playcentre in the morning with playgroup, so busy day.

The trampolining sounds like fun! I would have loved to do that as a kid. Do you get to have a turn too? I find it really food for the pelvic floor muscles, cause the last time I was on a trampoline I almost wet myself

Coen is still little  Tobias is nowhere near being in a bed yet either. You're allowed to stretch things out with your last

Mel - Happy birthday to Ollie! Congrats on TTC #4 too

Sue - I'd be inclined to go anyway. Just do what you're doing and stay healthy!

Tina - Lol, I am sure you're plenty skinny enough to wear skinny jeans. I do and I'm pg - I don't care. At least my legs are warm as I can wear by boots with them. I"ve got chicken legs so at least there's one part of my body that isn't ballooning atm! I got my flu shot a few weeks back as I wouldn't cope if it hit me either.

Suz - It must be hard waiting! All I can say is I'll send you some calm vibes and a hug :bighug: Hang in there. I am jealous of your time off work ;)

Thanks for the replies RE: baby bonus. Now I just have to figure out all the reportbale fringe benefits stuff. Boring and just too complicated for me these days.

 I wish I could sleep right now. It's all I've wanted to do all day. No chance of any rest until next weekend though as we're off to a farm for Farm Day this weekend. That's after a 3yo party tomorrow afternoon then rushing off to my brother's first gig in the evening. Exciting, but busy. Dh says to take a day off work but if I do I just feel guilty all day anyway so get no rest, lol. I'm enjoying working but am feeling a bit run down and see no end in sight

Ahhhh when is this going to stop. Declan has been having very bad runny nappies for the past 5 days since we brought him back home from hospital. He has always done heaps of pooy nappies ever since he was born but we didn't take much notice of it. We just thought it was normal. I have been b/feeding him heaps more since he was sick. He has been irritable, heaps of wind pain, not feeding good. I thought he had gastro so just made sure he wasn't getting dehydrated. His poo's were fine yesterday but he was still very unsettled and heaps of wind pain. I could hear it rumbling around down there. Poo's came back really bad today, I changed 3 times in new clothes as it went everywhere. So I decided to take him to the dr as there wasn't something right. He hasn't been sleeping well either so new there was something up with him.

Got to dr's and he said its not Gastro as he hasn't had vomiting, more then 4 poo's a hour and no temp. He then told me he has lactose intolerance. He told me to go out and get some formula that is for lactose intolerance and try him on that for a few days and to express my milk. He also said it could be also because he has been sick last week and its taken away the lining of his intestine and its going to need a week for it to replace itself. So will then try him again on b/feeds next week. If the same thing happens again then I have a lactose intolerance baby on my hands. I have no idea what that means or what I need to do in the future. Will worry about that down the tract.

The girls were a breeze compared with Declan. Is it a boy thing. I gave him a bottle at 4pm and he went to sleep and he's been asleep every since. :o Just about to wake him soon for his next feed. He is already so much more settled. Now I feel like a bad mum I didn't pick it up earlier. Poor little boy must had been in so much pain.

Well better get going, my eventful day. I have been so stressed out the past 4 weeks. I keep thinking omg what is Declan going to get next.

Good news about Chris's dad. Don't now if I told you all but he rang up the other day to say he has prostate cancer. After tests things don't look so bad any-more. He has a 2 out of 3 change of living another 5 yrs which is great. He had to do radiotherpy soon so hope that helps. The cancer hasn't spread to any other part of his body which is great news. :D

Off to bake cupcakes for Skye for her school tomorrow, they have a pirate day. At this rate I will be in bed by 11pm if I am lucky. LOL.

Sure is quiet in here

Tracy Are you talking about your DH Chris with prostate cancer? :o I had no idea you've been dealing with this! So glad he's had some positive news. When does he start treatment? Poor Declan, and you  What a rollercoaster it's been. As I was reading your post, I was thinking milk intolerance (I know a lady who went through the same thing, but they didn't work it out until her son was 3 months old). I really hope he is feeling better soon.

Kristy I hope you enjoy your busy weekend! But it sounds like you'll need a holiday to recover. Try not to feel guilty for taking a day off work - you're allowed to have a rest

Busy day here looking after my niece and nephew. Incl my kids I've had a 5yo, 4yo, 3yo, 2yo and 1yo :omg: DH and I were pretty exhausted tonight, hehe. The kids have been great though as they all play well together and have kept each other entertained. DN5 and Hannah are still awake watching a movie, but they look like they're about to fall asleep soon.

Hannah's school interview went well yesterday but we walked in just as school was finishing and Hannah was so overwhelmed by the rush of kids/parents that she was almost ready to burst out crying when we got in there! She calmed down though and we all got through it, hehe.

Hope you all have a great weekend :)

Where is everyone???? Is everyone chatting on facebook......

Everything is good, Declan is so much better on his new formula. Not b/feeding him atm but still expressing and freezing it. Will try in a couple of weeks to fully b/feed him to see how he goes. Feeling so much more confident now I can express sucessfully now.

NatW:- No Chris's dad has prostate cancer. I would be a wreck if it was Chris. :o Things are looking good for his dad so that good news. :D

Off to bed
