Hey Kell i went to reply and the thread got locked so here goes from the last thread lol

Thanks Kell your such a gem... She is seeing our GP and he told her to see which fertility specialist she was going to go with and he will do her referral letter she is just really worried about the money side of it how much does it normally cost for the consultation? and does it vary between doctors ? She's in brisbane the forest lake area..if that helps you in anyway.. Our GP also told her that if she has got PCOS she will need to have day surgery to have the cysts removed so that also worries her too..

She's a funny girl and doesn't want to join EB i know it would benefit her heaps to see people with the same problems and get that baby in the end of it all..

ETA I got SILLLLLLLLLLLLVERRRRRRRR!!! hahahaha

once again thank you so much Edited by ~*Becky*~

Grrr to Monday's, at least I am only working 3 days this week!

Angelique is obsessed with ice. I was on the couch last night watching the cricket trying to have a burbon & coke whilst fending off a tiny hand trying to dig the ice cubs out of my glass. So I asked her if she wanted some ice and she nodded. Then she walked over to the fridge and pointed to the freezer and made a grunting sound. Even though she has limited words she can tell me what she wants with a grunt and a nod or shake of the head.

Oh and my two played happily outside last night for 1 hour and didn't fight, the play session ended in tears tho with Angelique having hand fulls of dirt thrown at her face. Tyson promptly running inside saying "It wasn't me" whilst trying to hide hand fulls of dirt still in his hands.

Becky - Good luck with your sister. My friend also has PCOS, it seems to effect quite a few people.

Tameika - Hope you get your back fixed original.gif

Michelle - LOL at the grunting to communicate William is exactly the same! Apart from bow-wow there's not much he actually says but there's about 40 different grunts that all mean a specific thing! Love your new sig BTW.

Jane - glad to hear Lucy's having a good go at the potty too. William decided his Winnie the Pooh couch would be a better place to wee this morning than the potty and since i was on the loo at the time I couldn't stop himfrom running away without his nappy on! Still they are still very young so we shouldn't expect much (if anything) from them for a while yet!

Jodes - I'm with you I've been wondering how Liz and Anna from the cool group are going as they've both been absent for a far while. Joy has been away a while too - was she going away or something? B hasn't posted for a bit either...where are you all girls would love to hear that you are all doing ok if you have a moment to spare? I'd also love to know how Lady Sarah, Hunter and baby Leo are travelling.

Off to docs today as Will has a rash all over his torso. It's been there a few days but I just thought it was heat rash, but now that it's cooled down I'd have thought it would have disappeared if it was just that. Gonna check out if I have a UTI also cause I reckon I do. I feel pretty lousy today actually.

BBL no doubt!

Cecile - I know Joy started back at work last week; now full-time, so I'm guessing she's run off her feet just with all the day-to day stuff! Lady-Sarah has difficulty getting onto EB, but I will email her tonight and let you all know what I hear.

Sam - How's it going? Any more news yet?

We had a busy weekend; out all day Saturday and Sunday afternoon and evening, and would rather be asleep; instead I'm bored and tired at work. We're just at a stage in our project where we're waiting for a whole heap of stuff, and I'm at a bit of a lose end. I'm trying to get hold of DH to meet him for lunch. My ms is definitely getting better (TMI warning: although I wondered when I spent from 1-3am Sunday with vomiting and diarrhoea. I get horrible tummy aches every so often, although I don't usually throw up as well.) I'm still trying to avoid eating until as late in the morning as possible, but am getting hungry earlier and earlier. So far it has been ok!

Good Morning my dears original.gif

I guess one good thing about having a rent inspection at 9am...it means that my house is spotless and I now have nothing better to do than surf EB biggrin.gif

I took the kids to Maccas this morning so I could avoid the real estate, got back at 9.40 and she was still here! She must have been new, she was going step by step through the condition report checking everything <_< she had a moan about the extraction fan covers being dusty blink.gif I just looked at her and asked if she thought it was safe for a heavily pregnant woman to stand on the top step of a ladder to clean something as CRUCIAL as a bit of dust on a fan cover, stupid cow <_<

Ok, building a bridge....

We get our new bed today!! OMG a king size, I can't wait to go to bed tonight!! I bought all new sheets and everything (kmart have a %off manchester so I splurged wink.gif ) and am already thinking that 8.30pm sounds like a good time to hit the sack!!

Gals with a Mirena: I have been considering getting one after this babe, mainly to prevent DH from getting the snip (!) but also because I have heard they don't screw with your hormones like taking the pill does and I don't want any more 'daisy's' for quite a while!! When is the best time to have one put in, right after you have had the baby?? 6 week check?? Can a GP do it or do you have to see a Gyn?? Most important Q, are you happy with it??

Carolyn: That is so wonderful about Sophie's lungs, sometimes the human body is just so amazing original.gif

Michelle: I LOVE your new sig!! It's gorgeous!! Eleanor is very excited about seeing Tyson on Thursday, she has been talking about him LOL wink.gif I look forward to seeing Miss Angelique walking too!! My 2 are playing so nicely atm as well, now Billy is walking confidently. Unfortunately Miss E often pushes him or pulls him over, then tries to say he pushed himself over!!!

Cecile: For the crayon removal, have you tried rubbing it off with a babywipe?? Worked on my lounge original.gif I am going to try your vegie pancakes on the kids today (if I can get it together LOL) I know Billy will eat them, he eats anything, it's Miss E that I need to tempt!!

Mel: Glad to hear that Grace likes the rolly sangers original.gif

Sydney Babes: Loved seeing all your pics in the PP biggrin.gif

Susan:

It just seems to be flying along, doesn't seem that long ago that we were waiting on Billy.....
I know! and didn;t we all wait for Billy <_< took his sweet time the little devil!! Last night I insisted to DH that bubs name be finalised (and it is!! Have changed the middle name but the first one stays the same) because I panicked seeing my ticker less than 40 days and wanted at least his name decided, everything else can wait a bit more wink.gif

Jodes: Ahhhh Benji has joined the walkers, well done to him original.gif I loved the pics you put in the PP, how grown up is Lachie now??? Best of luck with the BT's for him today, I am thinking of him (and you of course too!) K xxx

Jane: Have a look here at the Safe and Sound Compaq, it is designed for smaller vehicles, it's not as wide as a maxi rider HTH original.gif

Liz Cookiemonster: Have seen her posting around EB but she must be getting close to her c-sec by now, she would be 39 weeks I would say. Would love to hear all about your new baby Liz if you have him/her yet!!

I am starving and Miss E has crashed on the lounge LOL so off to have something yummy!!

K xxx

What a crock - ovarian drilling is only done in the most DIRE of circumstances. I know lots of PCOS women and of those only 1 has ever had the drilling and it didn't work.

As for the cost it is around $150 - $160 for your first appt, then around $60 - $70 thereafter and you get some back every visit from Medicare. The drugs are the killer ranging from around $30 - $100 per month for the basic stuff (depending what you're on) up to quite a bit and you don't get anything back from Medicare for those.

BBL - Eva is screaming and Grace doesn't seem to know why rolleyes.gif

Thanks a lot kell like i said i have no idea about any of it because i have never had any encounters with it and i don't really even know what PCOS is.. so i got the number for QFG and she is going to give them a call and get our GP to send a referral through...and see what happens from there.. I'm now off to research as much as i can about PCOS and fertility issues and try and see what i can tell her she is a bit like me and and doesn't have any knowledge about it or what it is so i will print out as much as i can so she has some reading

once again kell thanks

take care all

If she does have PCOS a low GI diet and regular exercise will go a long way to reducing her symtoms. If she's a bigger girl loosing some kg's will go a long way to helping the medication they will put her on.

Good luck to your sister.

Cheers

I will tell her that too Kell she used to be a size 12 and about 55 kgs but now she is up to 80 odd so she knows she needs to loose weight and we are planning on walking every afternoon together and also she just joined a gym but i will tell her about the low GI diet as well.. she keeps ringing me from work all the time she has sooo many worries but i did tell her that plenty of women who have PCOS have had a baby then again there are plenty who haven't i guess she has a long road ahead and she needs to learn to be patient...

Becky - I have a friend who had PCOS, she was a big girl but lost 20 odd kilos, and followed a low GI diet, (She was still farily big even then). It helped her PCOS immensely (sp) and she now has a 5 month old DD.

When looking into a low GI diet I have found a lot info on how a low GI diet can work wonders for PCOS and similar hormonal type probems. May be worth further investigation.
I know it works for weight loss, I lost 32kg in 9 months prior to falling pregnant with Haydn.

The CSIRO is a pretty good diet apparently - with good results.

Tell your sister not to be too impatient you just never know what you might end up with original.gif Let her know I have PCOS - was told I'd never conceive without IVF and I fell pg on the lowest dosage of fertility drug there is - and I'm having twins ohmy.gif Just goes to show, be careful what you wish for.

Evie down for a sleep and GG fell asleep on the couch watching Chicken Run or something or rather. So I'm cooking a yummy tea in peace and quiet.

Cheers

Afternoon All,

Sorry be being so slack and not posting! I read quite regularly but rarely post as I get sick of wrestling with the computer!

I am in week 30 at the moment.. things are getting closer and closer but I am pretty focused on getting work sorted out so I can actually enjoy my 6 months off, (not like last time - having meetings in my living room with my team when Miriam was a week old and I was trying to breastfeed!). Only 6 weeks of work to go!

I am finding things much easier this time around, expect perhaps the heat. I am still swimming and playing waterpolo and have only put on 4kgs which despite being 10kgs heavier to stat off with, means I am lighter now than I was at the same point with Miriam. Very pleased by that!

Miriam is doing really well. Her weight seems to be under control now - only 100gms in the last 2 months which means she is now 13kgs exactly. Thank god for that! I gave her her first taste of chocolate custard in celebration only to find out that earlier that day DH had given her a chocolate paddle pop! Talk about famine to feast!

I was laughing reading about the communicating babies - sounds just like Miriam. She grunts and nods and has these involved conversations with us that we cannot decipher at all. She even repeats what she has said louder and louder (just like I catch myself doing when someone doesn't understand what I have said) in her baby babble. She is now adding hand gestures and shoulder shrugs to the babble. Hasn't helped me work out what she is saying though!

We are about to tackle getting rid of the last bottle... and then the night time dummy.... should be fun!

Has anyone taken their kids to the dentist yet? I was advised that I should take Miriam to the dentist for a checkup. I was wondering how on earth they would get her to open her mouth, (or stop coping a nasty bite?)

Miriam has decided now that she isn't interested in the potty anymore. Thats fine by me, except that I know that she is aware of what is happening as she tells me by pointing at her crotch and grabbing her nappy. She then points at the bathroom and crouches down to do her business. I guess she is just too busy to take the time to take off the nappy and sit down... Oh well, at least she is aware of what is going on. No nappies in the day was fun whilst it lasted. I guess I will just let her decide what she wants to do for the moment. Plenty of time to tackle that one later on. -and I am hoping that once she goes back to daycare she will want to do what the bigger kids are doing which I am guessing is where it all started in the first place.

I hope you are all doing well - I do sent those ESP messages of support...

Cheers

Anna - I was wondering the same thing with the dentist. There is not a hope in hell Reiley will stay still and voluntarily open his mouth without munching down and taking off a finger. I know I certainly need to go, haven't been for 18 months and my teeth are not feeling too good. I was thinking about just taking Reiley in with me so he can watch and see what happens and that the dentist doesn't hurt unsure.gif
That is good to hear about Miriams weight, well before she ate the paddle pop anyway! tongue.gif

EB is really giving me the sh*ts at the moment. It is taking AGES to load a page then another 5 minute wait just for the scroll bar to work. It's also logging me off everytime I close it down when it is suppose to 'remember me'. Is this happening to anyone else???? I'm not having any drams with any other web pages except EB.

Not a lot happening with us. I am so unmotivated to work at the moment. There is not a lot for me to do and I hate being bored at work, it makes the day go so long.

Mechelle - do you have any new piccies of your new concrete job? FWIW I would have killed my DH if he said that to ANYONE, let alone tradesmen about you in the dress. How embarassing! He must be pretty proud of his hot looking wife to say that though! biggrin.gif

OK DH home and I haven't ironed the shirt I promised him I would before he finished work! BYE

Kelly - i was having trouble with eb over the weekend, but its been fine today. wink.gif

Kirsty - That's FANTASTIC!! Bubs must have listened to everyone yelling at him over Australia. That's the best news i've heard today tongue.gif tongue.gif

Becky - great job on your sig, a beautiful picture of your sister Rachel

Anna - Good to hear from you, glad things are going well.

Dentists - well i'm going to look like a bad mother, rachel's only ever been once, and natalie (at 3 1/2) has never been. We are booked in to go in march though. My dentist actually said (the one time i took rach at age 3) that the only benefit is them getting familiar with the whole dentist thing. My MHN laughed about them saying kids should go at one, she recommends 2+ when all their teeth are through.

Us - in a much better frame of mind today, thanks girls. wink.gif Rach turns 6 tomorrow, i can't believe it, where has the time gone. She has 4 friends coming over for a play and ice-cream cake, i really need to clean up a bit, but kinda don't know where to start, also have my folks coming for dinner tomorrow so really should be getting organised. Oh, there's always the morning, the kids aren't coming until 2pm!!LOL

Have a good night all Edited by cazm
