Hi Everyone,

We have had a very busy and hectic weekend. Yesterday Chloe and I both had tummy aches. It was so scary she vomited more than I have ever seen before. She was just sitting there limp with her mouth open and just heaving vomit up for what seemed ages. Then today while I was feeding her she gave three big goes at emptying her bowels. Went to change her (she was in a disposable as we had just been out to lunch) and the poo had gone up her back. So was lifting her legs to wipe and she had another good go at it and sprayed poo all over me. Had to go and have a shower.

Chloe has been vomiting after her feeds more often over the last couple of days. I am using the Brauers Colic relief so she is bringing her wind up easier but after she burps she then becomes a bit wingy (makes squeaky noises) and then sometimes vomits a couple of times (tiny amounts) or get the hiccups. The vomit is sometimes thick and sort of mucusy looking but mostly just like overflow milk. Not sure if she is getting some reflux or maybe just had a bit of an upset tummy. These babies like to keep us guessing.

I have got my six week check up at my ob this thursday hoping to get the all clear. Need to talk about contraception options and also work out some issues that I found out just before I fell pregnant. Not sure whether I will be able to do anything about it but untill I am not BF.

Will try and come back later for some personals as I have to go and start organising dinner. still have my visitors and its my mums birthday so everyone here for dinner tonight.

Hi girls

Back again! I hope you all had a good day with your beautiful babies. We had a busy day, I had lots to do around the house since being away. I was so surprised Byron was so good on the plane, he slept the whole way. We had a quiet day until visitors arrived at about 3, grandparents and SIL. They could not even give me one day to settle and get myself organised (I am a freak, I like everything in the house tidy and clean).

Just put Byron to bed. He woke up from his sleep early and was a bit cranky so I got him up and started to play with him and he started crying so I gave him his bottle early and put him to bed. Not sure what was wrong with him.

We have our 8 week check up tomorrow with the nurse, so I hope she tells us that all is well. Does anyone know what they do at this checkup? I will find out how much weight he has put on in the last couple of weeks. He was 3.2kg when he was born.

KateE81-Hope you and Chloe are feeling better and your check up goes well tomorrow.

Well just waiting for hubby to come home. We are supposed to be going grocery shopping tonight but he just rang to say he is running late so not sure if we are going.

Have a good night

Take Care

Hi everyone :D

just popping in quickly as im soooo exhusted! Chloes naming day yesterday went well. It seems every time we go out to the inlaws for the whole day ,chloe's feeding times and sleeping times become all out of wack and we have a dreadful night. She missed her 9pm feed so she woke at 12.30am, 3.30am and then stirred at 5.30 am and then fully awake again at 6.30 then went to sleep and woke up and wanted to play at 7.30. So im very tired and off to bed as she has just gone to sleep, hope she sleeps through tonight as i really need a good sleep.

Attersee- same thing happened with me when Chloe didnt wake for her usual 3am feed i woke up all of a sudden and realised what the time was and went running to her room to check, of course she was happily sleeping.

Mummybinda- love the pic of Chloe and jade, they look so cute.

Emmabug-congrats on being first!:D

Happiness-im glad you are starting to feel better, take it easy darl, good to see you popping in.

well, im off to drag my tired self to bed.

Hi ladies

Just a quicky before my student arrives. I just want to let you know that Sarah has been a dream the past 48 hours. No crying, just cooing and sleeping 8 hours at night. DH and I even got some private time!!

We have been to the US consulate to apply for her passport, her social security number and something else. I had all the paperwork needed (gosh, I am so proud of myself) and Sarah was so well behaved.

Oups, there she is. Got to go.

Big hugs

Attersee

Dimples, don't beat yourself up over it hun.

Maybe you could go to the Dr and get some Maxalon? I've heard that boosts supply. Even if you have to put her on the bottle, she'll be ok.. (Can you remember to tell me that too if/when I put Jade on one?)

Hello

It is so freakin' hot over here at the moment, we spent the whole weekend(it was a long weekend here in WA)in the pool. I feel so sorry for little bubs when it is so hot as they just dont seem to be able to cool down, and breast feeding them turns in to one huge sweat fest

Dimples81 I too have supply problems, with Abbey I dried up at 12 weeks, just went to feed her one morning and I was totally empty, I persisted for a day but poor Abbey just screamed and screamed once I put her on the bottle she was much happier. It also happened with Lexie at around 5 months and is starting to happen again now. I am trying to express as often as possible and eating more snacks as the CHN seems to think I am not eating enough and that I was excercising to much, but due to the heat I have not been excercising much at all latelly and my supply is still dwindling

So I know where you are coming from , it is very upsetting, but you have tried SO hard and if its not going to work at least you know you gave it the best go possible.

So chin up sweet as you are doing a fantastic job and Summer still thinks you are the best Mummy ever

Attersee Great to hear from you, glad to hear that Sarah has been such a good girl for you, WOW she already has a passport, I still dont have one  Take care.

Jayamyc Being a Mummy of three can be tiring cant it! I find the hardest bit by far is getting them all in and out the car, sometimes it takes longer than the actual time you are out of the car for.

Mummybinda I would love to be able to come to one of your meets, pity that I am in WA...it would be FAB to meet up with some of you gals in person and meet all the gorgeous bubbas. Unfortunatlly there arent many of us WA chicks on here, I think that there is only Petrie-H and Sussan. Hope you girls have a great day. By the way the pic of Chloe and Jade is so cute

WEIGHT LOSS BUDDYS NEEDED!!!!!! Who wants to join me in losing some of this baby bulge??? I need to lose about 10 kilos and would like some people to do this with. That way we can do weekly weigh ins and give each other support and share ideas etc such as recipes, excercises and handy info. Let me know if you want to join me and I will do up a list or something.

Hope every one is having a great day and that all bubbas are as cute as ever.

Hi All,

Just been to our week check and everything is fine with us. My doctor has a 6mth old and just gooed and gahed over Eddie :)

Eddie is going well, didn't sleep well yesterday and had a shocking witching hour but is making up for it today :) Doctor things the witching hour is the bubs being over tired from not sleeping enough during the day, I think there maybe something in that as it does seem to be worse if bubs has slept badly during the day.

Going to Drive to Adelaide on Thursday/Friday this week to visit DP's family!! wish us luck!! I managed to convince DP not to take the dog (rottweiler) with us which would be way worse with a panting farting dog sharing the back seat with Eddie. We're planning on leaving thur night and seeing how far we get, then finish the drive on friday. We've done it heaps before but with bubs I'm a bit nervous. Any Tips for us??

Jenks: I'll be in a weight loss buddy group! I need some motivating!! I've got about 10kg to loose too.

how much sleep is everyone getting? I'm trying to get some naps in but Eddie seems to wake up as soon as I put my head down. Still can't figure out how to get anything done around the house besides the laundry!

Cya Guys,

Anna

hi Girls- just popping in to let you know that Marcus and i are doing well. He has started to sleep from 9pm till 5am which is great as before he was waking at 3am - so yay i get to sleep a little more.

i can't believe he is already over 6weeks and still so tiny. he is still under 4kg and in 0000size clothing.

he is our cuteypie.

To the girls that are having milk supply probbies- don't beat yourself up about it. Little marcus has been on formulea since he was 4days old as after the colostrium finished i had hardly any milk and put him on formulea and he has had no probs at all. These days that have made the formulea to be just as nutrient as breast milk- he is gaining weight at the same pace as breast fed bubs.

Hope that puts your minds at ease.

Today is my first day back at work. i am only doing 2 days per week and my mum is looking after Marcus. I can't wait to see him. We need the dough though as his christening is gonna cost us a small fortune. (bloody italian traditions).

Well, will prolly be back on on thursday as that is the next time i am working.

Cheers Carol.

Jenks: Finally we have our Summer!!! Just why now we have to have it I don't know - bring on the cooler weather or an air con that works at least. I'll be in for the weight loss buddy group - anything to get me motivated. I think there are a couple of other WA girls (in the Due In group anyway) but they were all living outside of Perth - shame about WA being a big state I guess.

EddiesMum - GOOD LUCK FOR THE TRIP TO ADELAIDE!!! The longest we've taken Jack has been 2 hours (to my parents farm!!!) and all we did was made sure Jack had a good feed before we left and gave him a feed as soon as we got to the farm. I would maybe suggest giving regular feeds (i.e. if have a feeding routine say every x hours, then keep to that) and make sure that the car is kept rather coolish. Jack tends to sleep when the car is in motion, don't know if this is what Eddie does but it could possibly be a problem for sleeping at night once you stop. As we haven't done any huge trips Im only guessing at this advice but its most likely what I would do if I had to drive long distances with him.

Dimples81 - Sorry to hear that you are having problems with BF.

attersee - Glad to hear Sarah has been wonderful lately. I wish I could say the same for Jack but he seems to be moving in his sleep and waking himself up by hitting the side of the cot - neither of us got much sleep last night but at least he is sleeping now (2 1/2 hrs so far this morning).

Ryn - Glad to hear Chloe's Naming Day went well. Must get organised and plan something for Jack or at least discuss it with DP.

MummyBinda - Good luck with the house application - we are also looking to move but have to wait till we find someone to move into our current unit. Can't wait to get a bigger place!!! Good Luck with the cloth nappies - I would love to put Jack's bum in cloth but just don't have the room in this place to have cloth nappies soaking/washing etc etc etc.

Well what an eventful weekend I had (as Jenks said it was a very hot long weekend here in WA) Friday night - caught up with old family friends that have come over from QLD, Saturday - went shopping with parents and sister to get various Birthday presents, Saturday Night - Went to a 21st Birthday party were Jack managed to steal the show (What a cutie he is  )

Sunday - Did an emergency exit from the house as the air con wasn't working properly and both Jack and I were far to hot so we went to my sisters place.

Monday - Went back to my sisters place so that my dad could look after Jack while I did a little food shopping.

Jack also rolled over for the first time on Sunday. Hasn't done it since but the look he gave me once he had done it was priceless - kind of like WOW MUM LOOK WHAT I DID!!!!

He has his needles tomorrow (hopefully his Dad will take him as I HATE needles) but if not then its up to me to take him. Do you think I will be able to handle it even though I have mild panic attacks with I have to have a needle???

Anyway must dash, jack will be awake any minute now and my luck will be awake till he goes to sleep tonight.

Hi Girls

Hope you are all having a good day. All went well with the check up. Byron has grown 8cm since birth and now weighs just under 5kilos, he was eight weeks old on saturday. He was very unsettled in the car today (had hubbys 4wD with only 2 doors so that could have been why, its a bit hard getting him in and out). So he slept straight away when I bought him home.

Just a quick question to all the mums out there. How long do your babies stay awake for after a feed. Byron was staying up for about 1 and a 1/2 hours but is now getting cranky almost straight away and I am having to put him straight to bed. He does not like laying down all the time on his playmat and I don't want to hold him all the time as it is very tiring. I have tried his rocker but he also gets cranky after about five mins in it. Any ideas?

Eddiesmum-I took Byron on a plane to Townsville last week and he was excellent. I feed him just before we left and he slept on the plane going and comming back (exept for when he did a big poo and I had to change him in the tiny toilets. Hopefully he sleeps for you. Hope all goes well and Eddie is good for you. Have a fun trip.

Jenks- I am also trying to lose weight I'll be in for the group. I want to lose 6 more kilos 3 more than my pre preg weight. It's great that we can support each other. I was bad today I ate chips and chocies. I will start being good tomorrow, lol. No I promise.

Petrie-Byron has also been moving in his sleep and hitting the side of his cot. I put him in a sleep positioner and he is not moving so much. He has been trying to roll over and I am worried he will roll onto his belly and not be able to roll back.

Clucky79- I am also going back to work next week, full time my mum is looking after Byron, not looking forward to leaving him.

Take Care

Jenks - Count me in on the weightloss buddies. I was going quite well but things have slowed down for me now. I really need to take Grace out for a walk in the pram on a regular basis. My excuse so far is that it has been too hot...but the weather is starting to cool down...should make more of the opportunity in the mornings....the housework will still be here when I get back!! I have also been slack on the indoor exercise as well....must make a point of it to help get my 'jelly belly' back into shape.

jenks - i'm with you on the weight loss thing. i have ten kilos to lose too! i have lost 18kilos in ten weeks. i haven't started exercising yet so hopefully that will budge the final ten- it is another thing getting me down- i'm still in maternity clothes!

binda- i love that pic of Chloe and Jade :) i hope you get that house too!

jeny77 - Lach stays awake for about an hour or two sometimes during the day after a feed and not long at all at night. he has only been doing this since he has been on the right formula

me - Lachie can shake a rattle - i nearly cried when i saw it. i emailed a pic to his daddy :D

i should have posted on here ages ago - you guys have made me feel so much better << hugs to all >>

i went to the psychiatrist today and he wants me to go to the Riverton Early Parenting Centre which is a live in clinic for mother and baby. so i will be ringing tomorrow to see when they can get me in. i didn't want to leave DH but he has reassured me it is the right thing to do.

Sorry Nic  I dont know how I forgot you were a WA chick...I will blame that one on the fact that my brain is fried due to listening to a two year old monster tantrum all day..Oh the joys of children

Weight loss Chicky Babes I will start setting up a page that has all our stats on it so if you could please pm me your current weight and goal weight I will start getting it organised. Also we need to chose a weigh in day once a week, any day suits me what is easiest for you guys?

So far on the list I have

Happiness

Tildababy

Jenny77

Petrie_H

EddiesMum

Nic

Anyone else interested in joining in???

I just went out for an hour walk with Chelsea, it was so hot!! But I feel better for it. I am also going to start going to Curves tomorrow, I have my appraisal at 11am. Hopefully I will be dropping the kilos in no time.

Happiness - Don't worry darl...you aren't the only one still in maternity clothes. I have that same problem. I hope all goes well and you are able to get into the clinic. Big hugs for you!

Jenks - Any day suits me. I will just have to make time to 'weigh in'. I am currently 77kgs (just put 1kg back on!!) so I have 13kgs to lose. So goal weight is 64kg although I would love to try and get to 62.5kg!

Well, seems Grace would like some more tucker before her sleep...had best not keep her waiting.

Hi Girls

Hope you had a good night. I have been up for most of it. Byron kept on wriggling and comming out of his wrap. He was fighting sleep so I had to pat him most of the night, he seems to be going through a stage where he won't go to sleep on his own and I have to pat and rock. Any ideas? Anyway I was so tired that I woke up DH to come and do the 6 oclock feed this morning and to settle him while I went back to bed. Byron has just gone down now so hopefully he sleeps for a while.

Happiness-thanks for answering my question. I usually leave Byron up until he gets cranky, could be 10 mins to a couple of hours. I also hope all is well and that you can get into the clinic soon.

Jenks-Any day is fine with me. Let me know and goodluck everyone.

Well I am off to shower and get dressed before Byron wakes up and have something healthy for breakfast lol.

Have a good day all.
