Recommended Posts

José

Hi.

I have three boys to buy for aged 9 and 10 years.

budget up to $50. Prefer not LEGO. And not a gift card.

thanks for any ideas!
maybe some cool STEM type toy? But what? From where? Or an outdoor something?

Would Thinkfun games appeal?

Some ideas (there's plenty more):

Code Rover Control: https://www.edresources.com.au/thinkfun-code-rover-control-game

Escape the Room: https://www.edresources.com.au/thinkfun-escape-the-room-stargazer-s-manor-game

Block by Block: https://www.edresources.com.au/thinkfun-block-by-block-game

Maybe Smartgame Toys (brand name) might have something along these lines too.

I think any boy would like Star wars lightsaber. Star wars maxe windu FX lightsaber is the third Saber I have purchased from the Black Series for my nephew, and all of them, including this recent purchase have been great. The start up, the color, sounds, etc. All movie quality in terms of visual. Highly recommend!

I’ve just bought a Wahu soccer ball for a birthday tomorrow.  Only $20 so you could add a book or something.  I’ve found they are a fairly loved toy - you can take them to the beach, play outside in the wet, take to the pool.  Ours has had a tonne of use.

That looks quite expensive.

As a female engineer who is quite keen on all things STEM, I highly recommend this 12 in 1 solar hydraulic kit.

My son is a little younger but we were gifted this and had a fantastic time building it together and figuring out how it worked.
