Following on from my previous post. Do you prefer?

Ella

Eloise (nn Ella or Ellie)

Eleanor (nn Ella, Ellie or Nora)

I love them all for different reasons ❤️

Eleanor for me. There is nothing wrong with Eloise but I dislike Louise so it reminds me of that. Ella is nice but  seemed over saturated about 10 years ago.

Hands Up

Eleanor. I don’t like Eloise and Ella/Elle is everywhere.

Eleanor. Love it!! I like Ella too but nowhere near as much as I like Eleanor. Not a fan of Eloise because I don't like Louise and it reminds me of it too much.

i love all those names equally - so, if i had to choose, I would probably go with what works best wth your surname.

I’ve never warmed to Eleanor as a name. I find it cold.

I love Eloise. Ella is nice but there are a lot of them both as standalone names and as nicknames.

Ella is least favourite, it’s too insubstantial and overused.

It’s a hard choice between Eleanor and Eloise! Eleanor has more nickname options (do you like Nell or Nellie?).

Exactly my thoughts.
I like that there are lots of options for nicknames as well.

Eloise or Eleanor, you can always use the nickname Ella but it’s not as nice as a first name IMO.

I like Eleanor, with shortened nicknames of Nora or Nor. Eloise is 💩 and Ella is everywhere in any butchered combo you can think of.

Soz but I prefer Elle to all of them. Simple and stylish and not overused.

Picking from yours Ella then Eloise then Eleanor.

Eloise is my pick.   (DD was obsessed with the Eloise book, movie, cartoons and we visited The Plaza in NYC) :)

Eliza would be my next favourite.

What about Elise? It was what my (never going to happen, boys all the way in this family) daughter would've been called

Eleanor if NN is Nellie.  Even Nella or Nellie as stand-alone.   Or Elodie.  Or Ellen.  Or Elspeth.

Eleanor, my niece was given the name 26 years ago, and I've always loved it. Everyone knows it, but it's not overused nor faddy.  It has lots of cute derivatives when she's young but it has a lot of elegance and dignity for a grown woman.

Of the three that you have put up, my order of preference is Eloise, Eleanor, Ella.

But can I please throw Elodie into the mix? I think it's a lovely name!
