TTC September 2020

Recommended Posts

simbacom

Hey guys, thought I'd kick us off for September. Baby dust to those already in the TWW and sending patience to you all 😊 AFM I am just waiting to confirm HCG back to 0 (my f/u bloods are Saturday) after our very early loss/chemical last week. Not sure whether we will actually TTC this month, I think I'll just see how I feel when we get there but I'll keep OPKing to keep an eye on ovulation dates. I'm mildly concerned that my somewhat short (~12 days) LP had something to do with my chemical so just want to keep an eye on that.

Trying to eat a bit healthier this month and just get a bit of control over my health back as well 👍

Hi everyone.

I'm 5dpo over here and very impatient 😂

my toddler is being an absolute turd the last week so I feel like the chances of pregnancy are high because I won’t be that excited after how miserable we’ve all been! But it’s also our first cycle trying, so probably unlikely if I’m realistic!

When will you start testing?

1DPO and I'm already itching to see 2 lines.

Yeah and it’s not looking good. Baby has grown, but not enough. The heartbeat is a lot stronger though so she can’t count it out yet, although she said the sac isn’t perfectly formed which isn’t a great sign. I have another appointment booked for next week and then will probably be on her operating list late next week. At this stage I’m just hoping I can miscarry on my own between now and then, as if I can avoid a general then that would be preferable...

Sorry to hear.

It would be nice if you had a definite answer because you are in limbo. Hopefully the sac repairs and it's born healthy.

I’d normally wait a bit longer but I will test at 10dpo because that is actually Fathers Day! I don’t expect to see anything, but in case there is a squinter we will have a nice surprise for DH!

Sorry to hear NSN. The stress of all this unknown and waiting for something definite can't be helping. Feeling for you x

Hi all

I’m new here. I have a 2.5yo. Been ttc #2 for 1.5 years, and have had 2 miscarriages at around 8 weeks each this year. I’ve had all the tests but it seems there is no known reason why. First pregnancy we fell first cycle, so it’s come as a shock!

I have never had a regular cycle - sometimes 28 days, sometimes 50! So this cycle I’m on my first round of letrozole. Had my progesterone taken after ovulation and it came back at 62. I’m not sure what that means, if anything, as I haven’t talked to my OB yet.

I’m 10dpo at the moment. Not sure when I’ll test. Sometimes it’s kind of easier living with the hope and burying my head in the sand :)

Fingers crossed for you all x

Joining!

DH and I have had a long road TTC #1.  We've made a decision together that if no luck by November we're going to seek help, however November is coming super quickly!

AF seems imminent so I'll be testing end of month.

Welcome @reneecatherine and @jkate_

@reneecatherine you are doing well not to have tested yet! I usually start at 9DPO.

I'm 2DPO and was ready to test yesterday. I feel really hopeful this cycle which I'm a bit concerned about, because if I don't get the BFP I'm going to be gutted. C11, so I guess there's not a great chance. In saying that the past few cycles I haven't been hopeful much at all.

Welcome @reneecatherine  and @jkate_, good luck for your cycles

@NeedSleepNow, I'm still crossing everything for you. Maybe things will correct themselves. The unknown must be so hard.

Goodluck with the TWW @Sweet.Pea, maybe this is the one.

I started spotting this morning, I'm only DPO11 and AF isn't due until Sunday. Have some pretty intense cramping so thinking it maybe AF, luteal phase is always 14 days though, and had a good peak so really not sure. Did test as well, BFN.

Could be implantation bleeding?

Have you booked with a fertility doctor?

Haven't booked yet, was planning on getting an appointment once AF arrived.

Has anyone had implantation bleeding, how long after spotting did you get a BFP?

I did. I had it Monday, tested BFN Tuesday and then didn't test again until Friday. I didn't have much spotting and it felt like AF was on it's way.

With mine, I had the first bit of implantation bleeding on the Saturday and got a blazing positive on the Thursday. Probably would have shown up at least a day or two earlier if I'd tested.

I think I’m out, really heavy now.  I’ll count tomorrow at CD1 as wasn’t heavy until later this evening. Cramping has been so bad, much worse than normal

Implantation can occur from 6DPO to 12DPO, so if it implanted at 6DPO it's possible to get a BFP at 8DPO.

Can you take a photo and post?

I've finally admitted defeat and requested a fertility specialist appointment. We've been trying for 11 cycles and nothing, not even a chemical. I'm feeling pretty upset that my body is letting me down, I don't have any children so now I'm scared its not going to be possible for me to have them. DH has two children and keeps saying we just need to relax and telling the story about how that worked with him and his ex wife. He is an amazing husband but he doesn't realises how much that hurts, he means well but the last thing I need to hear is how it all in my head and I'm causing our infertility by using OPKs and tracking my cycle.

Anyway, hopefully the I get an appointment soon and there is some obvious fixable reason for us not having success.

When we conceived our first, we took nearly 2 years. We had an appointment booked for 2 months after we conceived, but managed by some fluke by ourselves.

This time we sought help a lot earlier, but being in Melbourne, it's taking us a lot longer to actually get the assistance.

I guess it's a little different for males because if their sperm count comes back normal, then it's a matter of waiting for them. For us, there's a lot more than a healthy egg at play because our bodies are where it all happens, so there's a lot more for us to think about.

You're definitely doing the right thing seeing a fertility specialist because sometimes relaxing doesn't mean you will get pregnant. It could be a case of your sperm and eggs not being compatible. Or maybe you or he need to take an extra supplement. There are too many possibilities so a specialist is the way to go.
