Even with a self-managed budget, a trampoline is level 3 and must have approval from the NDIS.  It's going to be very hard to have plausible denial when both the LAC and SC have said no to the request.

The risk with going ahead with the purchase is that worst case you are required to pay back the money and you could lose the option of being self managed longterm.

Don’t worry I am too much of a scaredy-cat to not follow the rules. I wish i could though!

Yeah, once they have said no - you can't. But I never ask NDIS anything.

 

I have gotten them over the line with no auditing and explained why in planning meetings.

A letter from a therapist saying that it would be beneficial for xyz reasons has been all we needed.

Our CEO often says if we can related it to a disability and a goal and hand on heart say it follows our values, then we do it.

Like I said, we have never had a participant have to pay back money or been told off yet.
