This ad...wow

Where they have the awful ultrasound, the laparoscopy wounds, plucking hair from my nipples.....I feel like it's my life laid bare.  I think it's my favourite ad of all time. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/offbeat/bodyform-s-new-advert-breaks-period-advertising-taboos/vi-BB16hTmF?ocid=msedgdhp&fbclid=IwAR234j9Pg4M-yOLGqSaClDFUlkbpyhCTWgmE1dsyBC4uAEgZlqjE3Z1RyXo

I thought it was really clever. Plus, it's nice to see some actual blood in a period ad (leaving aside the ad years ago where a woman cleaned up a crime scene with a pad.)

Wow, awesome!

It covered so much, or uncovered really.

They even included antenatal expression of colostrum!

I really liked the 2 river pathways, children/ not children.

Eta, I think the image wasn't plucking a hair from the nipple, it was collecting colostrum with a syringe!

I don't think so, I went back to look again after reading your comment and it really looks like tweezers, and she pulls them away sharply like she's plucking.

Very powerful ad! And a little bit triggering, especially the barren womb. But good to see such a raw and honest ad.

Wow. That was powerful.

I'm so glad they showed the happy and painful sides. That pain is glossed over so often.

Wow, they ran with it!!

Did a survey on this ad 2 months ago,  I thought I'd be of the small group saying yes air it, do it, great ad. Seems not, seems most loved it if they ran with it and pushed for it to air

Ah yes, you are correct, that just shows we/I see what we want to see! 🙈

I loved the ad too and the sneeze part.

Appropos of us being more open about this topic Yassmin  Abdul-Mageid posted this on twitter the other day and the overwhelmingly positive result meant she didn’t delete.

I've seen a tweet or meme on FB that was 'Have you ever sneezed on your period and given birth to a jelly fish?"

This is possibly TMI, but yes I've had that feeling, both downstairs and from my nose! When I was a teenager I broke my nose and it didn't heal very well. For a year or so afterwards, sometimes when I sneezed a massive blood clot (think ten cent coin size 😧) would come out of my nose. I remember thinking it looked exactly like a period clot.

Really confusing but a great ad.

I've always had a guilty fascination with my clots. It feels like I should find them gross but they are just so weird and mesmerising.
