Droopy mouth

Recommended Posts

knittingkitten

As I'm heading towards 50, my down turned mouth is becoming even more pronounced and is really aging me. I look much younger  when I smile but I can't smile all day- I'd look like a grinning idiot!

I like my other lines but the mouth just makes me look old and haggard.

Has anyone else had treatment for this?

I would look for a talented injector in your area. They can use filler to plump up the areas to reduce the droop. Sometimes by filling the area or sometimes by filling the cheeks to lift up the excess skin.

I   have a bit of this going on.  (My mum has too, so might be something genetic!)  I considered getting fillers but the research I did indicated that to get a good look you'd need to do not just that area, but also cheeks as well. That starts to get expensive so I haven't followed it up yet .

I use good skin care with hylaronic acid in the meantime.

Weirdly.....Botox.    Google will show you some good before and afters and explain how it works.

I have a very asymmetrical smile & resting mouth position- a a ScoMo like smirk almost except that is just how my mouth is, so I look very wistfully at those before and afters sometimes.

Thanks so much for the replies. For those that had injectable a, did you go to a medical clinic or a beauty clinic to get it done?
