Type 2 diabetes

It’s only a matter of time before I get an eventual diagnosis.

GDM at age 25 and 27

1 maternal grandparent and my mothers 3 siblings (all late 40’s when diagnosed), My father and my younger sister (diagnosed late 30’s but with a 60kg maintained weight loss no longer meets the criteria)

I am now 44 and have the Hb test second yearly and from memory the last one was okay.

This is my main motivation for exercising and keeping my weight within the healthy range. I am thinking of investing in a monitor as I am having a few strange episodes post the occassional high sugar treat / Carbo load and thinking it may possibly be high BSL.

 

Hoping that the earlier I catch it I can avoid some of the long term damage
