#17 Bird Box - Josh Malerman

This was a page-turner with a really interesting premise. I didn't know anything about it before reading except the movie poster (Sandra Bullock with a blindfold).

#18 The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes - Suzanne Collins

Hunger Games prequel that tells the origin story of President Snow. The first few pages didn't grab me but then I was hooked. It's set around the time of the 10th Hunger Games and it was interesting to see how the whole thing  had evolved by the time Katniss was sent in.

#19 Peta Lyre's Rating Normal - Anna Whateley

Really enjoyed this one. It's set in Brisbane and tells the story of teenage Peta, who has ASD, ADHD and SPD. She has been going to therapy to try to fit in, but her routine is thrown when a new girl starts at school and they go on a ski trip. The author has the same diagnoses as the main character and I found it really interesting to see the world through her eyes.

#20 Girl, Woman, Other - Bernadine Evaristo

Tells the intertwining stories of (mostly) black women living in England and their different experiences and challenges. I really liked it and thought it deserved the Man Booker prize ahead of The Testaments.

#21 Red, White and Royal Blue - Casey McQuinton

This was fun. A book about the US President’s son falling in love with an English prince in election year.

#6 Too Much Lip, Melissa Lucashenko (audiobook read by Tamala Shelton)

I really enjoyed this, even though the end was a little too ‘neat’.
