What food to bring

Recommended Posts

curlin

I have been invited around to someones house as part of a parents group. I have only met the host and not the other mums (there will be 4 mums in total and 6 kids in attendance). It is at 2pm.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a what food I could bring for sharing?

I'd be taking a fruit platter.

My safest thought would be a fruit platter.

Otherwise maybe some mini cupcakes for the kids or maybe a nice slice, scones etc. for the parents. Possibly even a cheese and crackers.

It’s so hard when you don’t know most of them and haven’t seen most of the foods they tend to take.

I second a fruit platter. Or some homemade muffins.

Fruit, cheese & crackers would cover most people.

Mini muffins is the other option.

I would ask the host if there is anything you can bring.

If she is putting on a spread then it might be awkward with everyone bringing additional things.

Otherwise, I would just bring a packet of biscuits. The host can keep them if she decides not to serve them.

This, I would take a packet something so they can keep it and use it whenever if they want like there and then or another day

yep this, ask if she wants anything, or take a box of chocolates or a bottle of wine and they can keep it as a thanks for hosting.
