Chamomile, herb or flower?

Recommended Posts

Clementinerose

We were planting out the Woolworths discovery garden plants and amongst the herbs and flowers was Chamomile. Is it a herb or a flower? All I know is that you make tea with it but I’m assuming that children won’t be doing that.

Would call it a herb but the flowers are pretty.

It’s both. It’s a flower from the daisy family but it’s also used as a herb. Herbs can be made from any part of plant - stem, roots, flowers.

It's a flower, in the same family as asters and daisies.
