Fave crochet book?

Recommended Posts

Hi, calling the crocheters...

Wondering what your favourite useful crocheting book is?

Easy instructions, easy to follow diagrams... interesting projects...

I have “ 200 crochet blocks” which is great, but want an extra one.

Thanks!

I crochet! But don’t have many books, you can find eveything on the internet these days. Also, the library has a few.

I have a “how to” book that has the basics in it. It’s called the “A to Z of crochet” I think. And I have a vintage one from the 70s that I got at an op shop, just for cringe factor.

I did borrow a book from the Library once called “one skein wonders” and it was really good. Easy to follow, and one skein projects are always handy. I want to buy it but couldn’t find it to buy.

I’m also on the look out for a good squares book and a good afghan/blanket book.

I like Erika Knight - the local libraries have most of her books.

I crochet but have no books.

I follow YouTubers for various projects. Fiber Spider, Jayda Institches and Bella Coco. I also like Fiber Flux. Their tutorials are sooooo easy to follow. I'm currently in the middle of a Virus blanket courtesy of Fiber Spider !

I have two crochet books:

I quite like this one as it has a good assortment of stitches including a lot of nice patterns for edges. It also has stitch diagrams and clear pictures. I reference this book the most.

I also have this one which is good if you’re looking to design/make clothing or odd-shape pieces as it shows how to increase/decrease your stitches.

I’m currently looking for a book on mandalas, but so far nothing has caught my eye.

I do agree with others that if you’re looking for how-to’s you can’t beat YouTube. Instagram is great for inspiration and Ravelry or Etsy for patterns.
