That’s great! I almost fell over when we were told my son and another in his class would share an aide for 3 hours a day (it’s never been more then 1hr/day since yr 1)

Wonderful news! Is this through NDIS?

It wouldn't be as it's the responsibility of the Dept of Education, not the NDIS.

That's great news mumofamiracle. It's a hard fight, any win is great :)

Thanks Mollycoddle. (I’m storing up this knowledge as I may need it in future.)

Oh sometimes a school will try to palm it off so don't let them.

Thanks.

Got even better news today apparently my son can get another hour due to his vision loss (completely blind in his left eye).

We have an opthomoligist appointment next week so we have to get a report off him and they the assistant principal will send that in to get more funding for support.

Woohoo best decision ever to move him

Thank you.

The relief this all brings is just so overwhelming.

We had a psychologist appointment today and she is going to contact the school and ask to have some autism inclusion/awareness in classes or an assembly just so the children understand and hopefully the anxiety stays away and my son stays happy in this school.

Just feels like an entire weight has been lifted.
