Nappies - no longer required

Recommended Posts

Jaffacakes

Hi all,

Youngest child has now toilet-trained and I have a few nappies, training pants and covers to pass on. Does anyone know of any sites where I can do this? I am in Perth if that helps.

Happy to take PMs

Probably a women's or men's shelter would be your best bet

Do you mean reusable cloth nappies, or disposables?

Shelters, etc, typically prefer disposables because reliable access to washing facilities can sometimes be an issue.

However, as a PP mentioned, a local “pay it forward” (PIF) Facebook group will quickly find a new home for cloth nappies.

I'd try facebook. I passed all of mine onto a friend who used them for three years, and then passed onto another friend. Its nice to see things continue to be used :)

If you’re happy to hold on to them for awhile the Nappy Collective is a charity that takes unused disposable nappies and donates them to charities. http://thenappycollective.com

They have drop off points around Australia, listed on their website. I think they just had a collection drive in October, so probably won’t have another until the new year

See if you have a local buy nothing group on Facebook, the one I’m on is great for that sort of thing.
