Ectopic pregnancy

Recommended Posts

So I've just had surgery to remove an ectopic pregnancy and my Fallopian tube yesterday.

It was my first pregnancy, I'm currently on holiday in Eastern Europe laying in a hospital where barely anyone speaks English, thank god for google translate! I had no indication I was pregnant, did a test prior to travelling and even got a period that finished 2 days before the bleeding from the ectopic started. (I'm guessing as it wasn't in the uterus I had a fake period)?

So for those who have experienced an ectopic, what was your recovery like? What did you do before TTC again? Im worried it could happen again, obviously I'll follow up with a gynaecologist when I get home, I just don't know what to expect.

I haven't really mentally addressed the fact I lost a pregnancy yet either. Maybe getting out of here as quickly as possible is keeping my mind off that.

Sorry you have gone through this.

You should see a specialist when you can. I expect they will want you to do a HSG to see if your remaining tube is blocked or not.

I would be avoiding g pregnancy until then, as losing both tubes would be a much bigger problem.
