Hi! :)

I'm from regional Victoria, with an EDD of 1/1/16. This is our first baby, and first BFP so DH and I are very excited.

I've had my first bHCG blood test, and now waiting for another one next week to see what my numbers are doing. Time seems to be moving very slowly!

Hi ladies I will be joining with a clomid baby due 6th Jan. This is our first after a year of trying and first round of clomid. Had hcg done at 3w6d and it was 89 and got my referral to my ob but that scan isn't for another 2.5 weeks which seems forever away. Time does move super slow I just want to get to that 12week mark which incidently is my birthday which will be exciting to announce

I know.. the time goes so slow, huh! I have my bloods on Monday - think I should buy shares in a HPT company. I don't even know how many I purchased... this was an IVF baby so have been testing every day since transfer!!

Hello ladies!

This is our first =) Bub is due 6/1. We had been trying for about a year, so I'm still finding it a bit difficult to believe it's happening!

I agree - time is moving slowly! I had two blood tests last week (not sure what the numbers were) but looks like everything is going as it should. Have an appointment next week to work out referrals etc.

I can't wait til 12 weeks either!

Hope you're all doing well x

YAY im glad the jan 2017 group is up! i loved my lat DIG and we are all such good friends now!!

I'm from Canbera. found out last monday. exactly 4 weeks.

second IVF baby. our first is 5 months old. wanted to use the same dr and same clinic as we might be leaving canberra.. still have ZERO symptoms which is freaking me out...

hcg levels are rising and i have another blood test monday (5/40) so hopefully it keeps going up.

i am already booked into the Birth centre, who i had my first baby through. Im an emergency nurse and would never go private for obstetrics...so I'm happy to be on a great program again.

scan is booked for 23/5. two more weeks,

the worst thing about IVF is you find out so darn early! hopefully this baby sticks around!

yay for january babies!!

Hi

I'm sneaking in here I get 11Jan or 13jan depending on calculator

Hi Tmay *waves* nice to see you in here

This will be our first baby and first bfp I just went for my bloods and will hear in a few hours. Home tests have been darker every day so I'm pretty optimistic despite the earliness.

We're in Adelaide

Nice to meet all of you looking forward to hearing lots about our next 8 months or so

I am not doing too well with typing today.... i wanted to post in here twice before and for some reason accidentally deleted the whole post.

beta bloods are looking good hcg was 163 and progesterone 178 which means I get to stop the progesterone and oestrogen meds, so from here on out all symptoms will be due to the tiny tiny little one. oh current EDD is now 14th Jan

I like that we have a good mix of new mums and mums who are expecting siblings for their other children.

I already have questions... since I would be classified as high risk (i think due to 1 age 2 existing high blood pressure managed with meds and 3 personality disorder - even though I am weaning off mood meds) Does this limit my birthing options?

I have not decided what I would like yet, and know very little about the options, I am leaning toward wanting to attempt a natural birth (if possible) with a midwife in birthing centre. does anyone know if this will be an option for me or will I be shooed over to the highest intervention area and told what I need to do??

Hi everyone, sadly I'll be leaving this group

Good luck for a happy and healthy nine months to you all xxx

bernadette, sorry to hear that. look after yourself

darcy - you still will be able to have midwifery care, but shared care might be your best option. if your hospital does it. its gp and midwife led. you will still get to have birth in normal delivery suite (the normal suites in my hospital are massive with ensuite/bath etc....with all the specialist teams close by if needed. (why i always choose public over private)

i saying that, just ring your birth suite and ask them. they can advise you, but ring this week cos they only have limited spots so you have to be quick!

i dont think you are super massively high risk, however existing high BP might tip you out of birth centre into the hospital system. where are you based? most public tertiary hospitals have amazing obstetric care. just might have a different dr and midwife thats all. babies still arrive no matter who you see throughout :)

give them a call and find out! hope that helps xx

Thanks Tmay

I am in Sth Australia my closest hospital is Flinders Medical Centre and they have a birthing centre on same floor as labour ward. I fall in the catchment area for the midwifery group there but when I originally spoke to my gp she hinted that I may not be able to do shared care because I am high risk (she was a bit vague at the time I think she was trying not to worry me with knowing my history ttc) I am going to try to see her tomorrow and call the pregnancy referral line too see what happens.

I'm still not 100% sure of my preferences but I would be a bit annoyed if options were limited for me prior to me deciding ( just a little control freaky lol) I def do not want to risk baby in any way but I also don't want to be herded along a path that isn't necessary.

Hope everyone has a good mothers day xo

Hi all.

By my calculations I'm due jan 14th :)

Anyone else very scared to miscarry?

How do you not think about the possibility all the time. I don't want to celebrate incase it doesn't happen...

Feeling like a downer.

Did you ladies book in a GB or wait until 7 weeks?

Hi Leigh. Yes the worry of miscarriage is awful. I have increased risk due to my PCOS and my age so it's always at the back of my mind. I won't be telling people till quite late. My fertility specialist does a scan at 6 weeks to check viability so mine is booked in for the 18th. I think after the scan I'll start to get more excited.

Oh Beanette, I am so very very sorry. Be kind to yourself and take it easy.. I'm thinking of you.xxx

MitchNME, I found my DIG's when PG with my two girls (now 7/9) super awesome, too. I am still friends with the ladies I met on there. What a journey you have had to get to where you are! I bet you're over the moon.

Leigh1899, I think about it all the time too, but I just focus on the stats. I think it's about 80%+ that stick omce you get to 6 weeks (don't quote me.. it's just something someone else said to me!), so I think that's pretty good odds. I just try to stay positive and know that in a few short weeks we will all be out of the hard first trimester, and enjoying the blissful 2nd!

I've booked into my OB and hospital. In Melbourne, if you leave it longer than 6 weeks, you'll likely not get in! It's a little crazy!

Darcy 41, I can understand how you would be curious - I think Tmays response was on the money!

Happy "Mothers Day" everyone!!

AV. xo

Hi everyone, my names Sarah and I'm from Sydney. Due 3/1 (although think this will change after the first scan) with my second baby. I already have a 20mo daughter.

I have had no symptoms at all which scares me a bit. With my daughter I had horrible nausea 24hrs a day from week 5-20.

This is the first time I've joined a DIG so looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Hi All

congrats MitchnMe on your bfp, have you told your son yet? has he been keen for a little brother or sister?

Hi Leigh, i am due same day as you, and am also totally petrified about miscarrying. but we have to keep positive and fx our little embryos hang in there

Hi SA Sarah and Sydney Sarah hope you are both doing well.

So I called the referral line for SA this morning which opens at 8:30am at 8:30am I was bit confused since all the waiting music and info was about WCH and I was sure I should be routed to Flinders, then the lady explained the referral line itself is run by WCH, She gave me a number and transferred me to Flinders, where I got a we only take bookings from 10am message and got cut off. Doh... so waited the 90 mins and called back (had to search for the number since I was transferred)

The lady just said we see you between 8 and 12 weeks when I said that I was 4 weeks and then offered me an appointment for the 4th July which is 12weeks 3 days and ended the call.

I called back straight away, and mentioned and asked if it was different if I was an ivf pregnancy and she said no, then I also said that I had heard it's good to call early so if I wanted to choose the midwifery group practise or birthing centre and she just said that is discussed and decided on the day and that is the first time I can get seen.

I found that all a bit abrupt and curt and like she was trying to get rid of me. I actually feel quite emotional I want to be able to talk to someone and discuss what I am going through not just sit and wait 8 weeks before even seeing anyone. I know it's hormones but I just want to sit and have a cry now - such a sook

I have also booked in to see my GP today, and I am hoping for a bit of positivity and reassurance and at least a second blood test to confirm hcg is rising as required.

I do have a date for our viability scan from the FS so at least that is something sooner to look toward.

How is everyone else going?

Hey Darcy

I haven't been to the DR's yet. I am unsure about everything too.

On one hand I feel like what's the point of going to the DR's they will just take a blood test to find the levels and if something were to happen there's nothing they could do anyway.

I'm thinking of waiting until 7 weeks and going for a dating scan and hear heart beat. I have no idea where I get this done at... All info online is conflicting and it all makes no sense lol.

Leigh1899, are you on Progesterone Pessaries? They made me bloat horrifically.

Just had my "official" blood test and it came back super amazing... HCG @ 1,039! My IVF transfer was only 13 days ago. Progesterone was also great at 129 so I can stop taking all the extra drugs.

I'm so sorry Darcy41. If it's any consolation, I was super emotional too and cried at work today.. total sook here!. Bloody Hormones. Hope your DR provides some much needed support and clarity.

Welcome DoubleDee, seszlou and mum of callum!

AV.
