Natural supplements to improve libido?

Recommended Posts

tryingfor1st

I posted this in the older mum2b forum but younger couples could have this problem too so hope it's ok to ask advice here. I'm a 35 year old dad2b. We are trying to conceive our first. I want a baby as much as she does but still when I know its time or think it's her time to conceive (she stopped telling me) then it takes me longer to get 'ready' or not at all. Its been happening more often so I thought I'd swallow my embarrassment and come here asking if anyone knew of any natural herbs or supplements that could help things along a bit when needed. Don't want anything prescription in case it affects sperm in some way. This is a new problem for me and I wish she wouldn't take it personally but she does. Thanks for your help

Don't be embarrassed, OP. It sounds like more of a psychological issue than physical (not that you should be embarrassed for physical either). I second the pp and recommend you go see your GP. They'll be able to refer you to any other health care providers.

The same thing happened to my DH. We were just starting down the assisted conception route so timing was essential.

He found the pressure to perform quite intimidating, not to mention the perceived lack of intimacy IE he subconciously felt a bit like a vending machine, having to "put out" on demand :(

Our specialist was very good about giving us tips like me not actually telling him which days were essential and which weren't. And trying to be as spontaneous as possible IE surprise him in the shower.

Please go discuss this with your GP and have them assist you. Sometimes the "natural" stuff can be more harmful than any prescription things.
