ChristmasCarol - I hate those horrible comments. Some people I think just don't know any better, but there's others who seem to get pleasure in bringing up your weak spot. I have a cousin who does it as well. Excellent new skirt purchase! Hope you're feeling a bit better this arvo.

Carol, I just went shopping too, bought a new bra which I'd been putting off thinking I would need a maternity bra soon. Yeah right. Plus, since I stopped the Pill I've gone down a cup size. First time since I was 18 I've been this size.

I did pick up some pretty tops from Just Jeans though, nice and loose-fitting, good for hiding a pregnancy for the first few months. :p

RTM - I put off buying a new bra for over a year of TTC, thinking I would just wait for a maternity one. I finally caved and bought one and I'm glad I did because I dropped cup-size massively after going off the pill. I used to have DDs and now I'm a B. It was like two plums jiggling about in a bra made for rockmelons haha. Going off the pill has given me bad skin and shrunken boobies, yet no babies!

ChristmasCarol - We're here to help! I love this forum too. Everyone's super nice and actually gets it.

AFM, I'm turning 30 in a few days. I started TTC when I was 28. That's super depressing and feels like so long ago. If my last pregnancy had gone to term I would have had a 3 month old baby at my 30th. But here I am still waiting. Oh well, silver lining is that at least I can get drunk to celebrate!

I'm going to test tomorrow. I still feel nauseous every now and then, and have a slight cold so my hopes are up. I could just be sick though. I hope that if AF comes, it comes tomorrow before my friend arrives to stay for the weekend. I hate dealing with periods with other people around. It might help keep me distracted and just get on with things though.

Heylo, I have bad skin too! Right now I have a couple of lumps on my head which I think are cystic acne. They hurt. :( And my Ds have gone down to Cs. and I have always refused the extra padding in bras, and don't want to relent now...I keep telling DH he has to get me pregnant just so I can have my boobs back!

I really hope this is the cycle for you. I've got my fingers crossed, it sounds positive! I always seem to wind up having some celebration at my parents house the day AF starts, and I wind up drinking too much 'because I can'. I really just need to learn to hide in a hole for a couple of days.

Heylo I so hope this is your month but if not then enjoy your 30th!

Wow I have had the opposite since going off BC my boobs are bigger! I have put on weight too though.... I cant imagine what will happen to them if I get a BFP

christmascarol I wouldnt even bother replying to your cousin, such a rude thing to say!

RTM - Ouch cystic acne sounds painful. It's annoying too cos you can't really go on any meds for it in case you do get preg. I was hoping my pimples were just a temporary thing while my body got used to not being on the pill, but it seems that I'm just naturally a pimply adult. Not fair! It will be interesting to see what size boobs we get when we actually do get pregnant. My cousin ended up with EEs during her pregnancy - yowsa! The drinking is a hard one because you want to limit it for fertility, but you want to still have fun and live you life in the meantime. It's a super alco thing to say, but I love having a drink when AF comes. I get drunk and wallow in my sh*tty existence, and then it's over. Binge drinking FTW.

MrsJacko - Super jealous of your boob situation. I miss my girls :-)

Did a POAS this morning and its a BFN. I can't rule myself out until AF comes, but I think I am. I don't know why month 20 would be any different than the preceding 19. Waa waa

Lol I don't think my boobs changed at all when I went off the pill. It was so long ago though, maybe I just don't remember. Getting smaller now, which is nice (but there's still plenty there lol, they can afford to get a bit smaller).

Heylo I know how hard that is. I never thought I'd get to 26 and still nothing. I hope AF doesn't show up for you, but if it does, still try to enjoy yourself and remember you've got the IVF coming up. So even though it's not ideal, hopefully you don't have much longer to wait.

heylo dont be jelous because i put on weight on my tummy too lol, if I lost the weight I gained i owuld lose the extra boobage too

ahhh Kallie88 to be 26 again lol

I will be 31 in 2 months! I so thought I would have a BFP before that but oh well

I am so Happy I have managed to find another clinic to get my tests done next friday so I dont need to wait another month :)

Thanks Kallie - Knowing the IVF appts are coming up do make the disappointment less. Having the next step within reach is good.

MrsJacko - That's great news about the new clinic. Waiting is super annoying, so it's wonderful you can get all your tests done sooner. What tests are you getting? Ovulation bloodwork? Sperm? Immunisations etc? Let us know how you go.

Has anyone here had the Laparoscopy to remove Endometriosis? I haven't had a definitely positive Ovulation test since my op and excision. The tests seems to get darker over a few days but never gets to the obviously positive dark-dark results I used to get. Have you noticed anything like that happening to you?

Heylo,

I have already had the immunisation ones 9 months ago lol but this is an internal US and hormone blood tests to make sure I am releasing an egg.

depending on the results then DH will get the sperm analysis.

I have had 3 laps to remove endo but they were a few years ago so way before TTC, you will probably need to ask your FS if there is a connection between the two.

christmascarol that would be the best birthday present ever :)

I haven't been on for a few days and just read the end of the last thread plus this one - was reading, reading, hoping a few BFPs would be posted but then that wicked witch shows her head - sorry, ladies, I have my fingers crossed for our next cycle :)

jbub - if you're still reading this thread - congratulations!!

Weird thought - sometimes it just pops into my head that there are so many ladies out there checking their panties every time they go to the toilet - makes me smile as it's a little funny to think and also makes me smile to know I'm not alone.

I wish everyone a lovely weekend!

Just got back from the GP...not all good news for us in the short term!

DH has testosterone levels below the normal range. He has to have a follow up blood test which has to be 2 weeks after the first (so, next Friday), then it takes a week for results, then it takes a few weeks for the testosterone supplements to kick in.

She gave us two weeks worth of Cialis samples to get us through the next fertile window without worrying about performance, which was awesome of her (love my GP), but given that low testosterone levels can slow or halt sperm production (and DH has showed many symptoms of low levels for several years now - fatigue, lack of concentration, holding onto weight, depression, et al), I don't think even this next cycle is going to work. :( We are about 5 weeks away from treatment making a difference.

Admittedly he hasn't yet done an SA, but with this history now here, plus mine, when we hit the 6 month mark without success I will be asking for all the tests, for both of us. We've just failed our 3rd month, so halfway there.

Sigh.

Sorry to hear that, RTM, but on the positive side, at least you have something to work with - fingers crossed the treatment works wonders and works them fast for you!

I just re-read that you 'failed' - isn't it terrible that we think this way. Sometimes I wonder if I get upset with the BFNs because I am failing and that TTC becomes a bit more like 'winning' or 'passing' - like I want to know that it can work for us. It's hard to explain - am I upset at the 'failing' part rather than the 'not pregnant' part......

RTM did they tell you anything about hubby's FSH? Just because our tests showed DH had low testosterone and FSH which meant that if they put him on testosterone his sperm count would actually plummet to basically nothing. So thought it might be good to make sure yours doesn't have something similar before he goes on testosterone? Though I'm sure if it was that they would have said. On the bright side, you're finding out three months in rather than 12.

Lucky, maybe go into the GP and see if you can get the day 21 blood test?

OrganisedChaos, it is a bit weird, I guess it feels so personal and like something you should just be able to do that it does feel like you're failing somehow

AFM, proper flow hit today, so annoyingly I really need to make it a 32 day cycle, dumb spotting for two days. What's the point of spotting for two days? Really.

Kallie, she's testing FSH in the next lot of bloods now that she knows it's testosterone and not thyroid like she suspected. The levels weren't low enough for him to be able to automatically go on testosterone supplements (7.8, normal is 10-35), hence the extra blood test.

Interestingly, one of the last questions she asked before we left was had he ever used steroids, you know, inappropriately. Which as an impressionable, body-building mad 19 yo he did a few times. I wonder what that's about?

Also, three of my four non-OCP cycles I have spotted between 3 and 9 days beforehand. Never did that before going on OCP, but did get a lot of breakthrough bleeding whilst on it, so maybe related. But oh so annoying!
