Funny things your kids have done

Recommended Posts

Autumn2013

So I was feeding 11mth old dd breakfast and with a mouthful of weetbix she put two fingers in her mouth and pressed/pulled own on her gums her fingers slipped out of her mouth throwing half the mushy weetbix across the floor, she then burst out laughing which made me laugh. It was nothing deliberate or really that funny unless you were there.

It made me think what are some silly/funny things your child/children do or have done that made you laugh?

Oh how cute!

DD is a real hoot. Whenever I say thank you to her she bows, puts her hand to her chest and says "my pleasure!"

When we leave for anything her goodbye is "see you round like a boogey on a whale poo!" or "like a boogey on a rissole!"

The variation changes daily!

She also tells me she loves me to my bones. And my guts. And my brains.

My DS just told me he will have lots of friends when he goes to school because 'all the other kids will be sick of each other!"

My DD1 (3.5 yrs) came running to me once saying "something's wrong with DD2 (3 months) somethings in her eyes!!" I obviously ran to see DD2 who was crying and couldn't work it out, and DD1 says

"look, she's got drip drops in her eyes!"

She'd never seen her cry real tears before :p She still calls them drip drops.

Also when I dressed up in my bright pink spongebob squarepants pjs and fluffy pink slippers that she chose for mother's day, she took one look at me and said very sincerely "I did a great job, you look just perfect!" Made me laugh, I felt ridiculous!

They are just so sweet and their innocence always makes them say and do just the silliest things

DD1 bought me some heart shaped soaps and a face washer at the Mother's Day stall at school this year. Both she and DD2 insisted that I use them in the bath, not the shower (I'm 8 months pregnant, so even getting into the bath is a challenge and a spectacle). And THEY wanted to bath me! So, there I was sitting in a shallow, tepid bath while my 6 and 4 year old daughters washed me like I used to do with them. It was actually rather lovely. If a bit weird and daft. :)

My oldest DS had a car accident the other day. Thankfully he is ok but his car was wrecked. We were all very grim and serious. DH was looking under the car and assessing the damage and DS (2yrs) squatted done beside him. He looked up at our oldest DS and said "Car is boogered! Yep. It's Boogered!". Nodding his head like he knew all about it. It was the laugh that we all needed.

DS2 says "Boonana" instead of banana - it makes me laugh everytime. I'm sure he just says it to make laugh now. He also does an amazing rendition of Let It Go complete with hand gestures.

DD came home from school, after learning about the Titanic for the first time. Spoke with great authority on the subject, that it was "...a giantic boat that was sailing along the ocean at night time, and then...it CRASHED into a giant ice cube"!!
