yes we have same with our DD age 6. its been 3 years of problems.

turns out singulair tablet each night helps. we are down to Croup twice in 4 mths and she managed without redipred. dog bark but no breathing issues.

shes been diagnosed with cough variant asthma so any sickness or sore throat the dog bark starts. singulair has transformed her and us.

I know what your going through...i was so anxious as she'd wake up coughing and need an ambulance.

If a young child (14 mths) has a barky cough medical attention should be sought without delay. giving advice not to give redipred is wrong and could be dangerous.

You don't just give redipred for any old cough. It is strong prescription medication. I recommend giving it on medical advice only.

Once you have had a lot of experience with it, you know when to give it.

But someone who has only used it once, should not be encouraged to just give it to their child when they have a cough.

Seek medical advice.

Redipred only lasts 4 weeks once opened too, so often a new script is required.
