Boobies!

Just jumping in quick to say that I got my second HCG results today: 14,707 for 23DPO. First HCG on 4th December was 967. This gives me a doubling time of 42.78 (although I would assume that it's not a constant rate, I think it speeds up then slows down?). First scan next Friday. Looking good!

I bet you must be counting down the days to the scan. Very exciting.

Great results HappyWomble!

I think I've missed a bunch of replies but I can't be bothered going back to the old thread.

AFM My scan is tomorrow at 11.15. Eek! Every time I think about it my heart skips a beat. All the possibilities keep running through my mind. I want it over with.

I know that feeling well FunkyOwl, I felt sick the day before my scan and I thought I'd be all teary during the appointment but instead I was basically in shock during the whole thing. Good luck!

Hurrah for the excellent result Happy Womble!

Oh Mi2boys, I'm sorry to hear you're bleeding, although that doesn't necessarily mean that it's over x

I'm sorry to hear that you're bleeding. A few people in my last DIG bled a bit at the start and they went on to have babies, so may be nothing, just keep an eye on it.

I have read through the last thread but won't comment on everyone, just glad to be in another DIG so quickly (my son was born in March this year and is 9 months this Saturday); I'm not officially counting myself as pregnant yet even with the positive test as I haven't missed my period yet (due this weekend) so will wait until then.

Not sure what made me do the test on Monday, just felt weird and did it expecting it to be negative but it was positive.

Pretty happy as we've had a lot going on in our family over the last month so this will be some good news that everyone needs.

Haven't made an appointment for my Dr yet but have a full blood test next Monday as a follow up from low iron and vitamin d levels from BF so will make one when the results come through (wondering if anything will pick up in the blood test).

I guess it means I can't get an x-ray at the end of the month to check if my broken ankle has healed properly through.

Not sure what hospital I will go to, I had my son at the RBH as he was breech and I was classified high risk because of my BMI but I have lost weight since having him so will probably have to go to the local one so will wait and see. Secretly hoping to be high risk again as the service at the Royal was fantastic. Although it is a big drive from home.

Went to see my GP he has given me two days off work and wants me to have bloods tomorrow and Friday. If levels are rising then we will book an ultrasound next week. It was a lot to start with but has slowed. But still have cramping. Why do we get attached so quickly to these little peanuts so quickly.

Mi2boys - good luck with everything, I hope you get the results you want. If it isn't, I'm very sorry, be gentle with yourself.

Linda - congratulations, they'll be lovely and close in age! Hope your ankle feels better soon.

I have a feeling I have miscarried. Apart from sore breasts I have no symptoms and I just don't 'feel' pregnant like I did with my first 2. I don't know if I'm being paranoid bc our daughter was stillborn or because it took us so long to fall pregnant but it just doesn't feel right.

I've had a second lot of bloods done and the doubling time was 32 hrs. I also have my first OB appointment tomorrow where he will do a scan, so I guess we'll know then.. Feeling very detached :(

I also have my first scan tomorrow.... Not really sure what to expect because I personally think I am a week earlier than the doctors think (they think 6w3d)

Sill don't have a whole lot of symptoms..... Sore boobs, huge appetite, feeling sleepy a lot quicker and dreaming every night. I keep peeing on sticks to make sure that double line comes up still haha!

Hi all, still here reading along but hard to post with 2 kids lol. I remember being in my first DIG with #1 and there were girls with #3, and now that's me!

I don't feel very pregnant either, about every second day I get either insanely tired or hungry but today...nothing. From memory I get worse around 7 weeks so hopefully that happens for reassurance!

Happy Womble my good friend and my sister both do home births but I tend to have biggish babies so I don't think it's for me. I've booked into the birth centre this time which is midwifery care, it's about as close to a home birth as you can get but right next to the hospital should you need to be transferred.

My hCG was 2750, Dr told me that was low for 4-5 weeks pregnant but when I looked at the chart she used it turns out she was reading for 4 weeks after conception which is different to 4 weeks pregnant. Stupid GPs! I've booked in for a "dating scan" next week just so I can see a heartbeat because I hate this part of pregnancy, waiting waiting and never really knowing if its ok.

Sorry to the people that have lost babies already :(

Hi all,

It looks like I'm in here :) Tested positive yesterday and due somewhere mid august I guess. I have a 3.5 year old boy and it took me a long time to be ready to try for a second - but almost no time to conceive, which was a pleasant surprise! I have my typical pregnancy symptom - massive heartburn. Other than that, my sense of smell is in overdrive, but I'm doing a lot better than I did last time so far!

I'll try and read along and post but expect me to be pretty random hehe. I'm not good at remembering to log on.

Mi2boys - thinking of you and hoping you are ok.

Skippy_sugar that is so exciting. I can't wait to see a heart beat one day!! Hopefully soon.

I don't see my GP till Monday but work has me booked in for back to back meetings. I think I may have to chuck my first sickie ever just to get to the Drs. Really hoping I can keep this from work for a while.

I noticed a lot of you are having scans. I thought these didn't happen until 10-12weeks? Can someone explain when the ultrasounds take place?

I feel like I need a pregnancy 101 book!!

If you are doing fertility treatment or have a history of losses they will do a viability scan at 6-8 weeks to check for a heartbeat. This is when most of us 'graduate' from our specialists or IVF clinics to a regular OB. There is no need for most women to get them. :)

ETA There is a high number of us in the group that fit into the above categories so it will seem like a lot of women get them early, but most actually don't. So don't stress about the fact that you didn't book one. Most wait for 10-12 weeks.

I had a miscarriage in October and didn't have a cycle in between then and now, so the doctor wanted to check on things.

It is also routine here in Germany for 3 scans -- 8 weeks, 12 weeks and 20 weeks.

Evening all

Booked my appointment to see my ob today, 30th Dec, which will make me around 8 weeks. He has an u/s machine in his room, so that will be our first look at bubby. DH is going to make sure he can be there with me. It's been really nice that he is so excited and wanting to be involved, he's even got an app on his phone!! Might sound a bit strange, but normally he only comes to the 12 and 20 week scans, but he's wanting to be more supportive this time!! I think we're both going to cherish every little thing this time as it's going to be our last.

Skippy ~ congrats on seeing a heartbeat.....always special and reassuring!!

Mi2boys ~ hopefully things settle down and bubby has sticking nicely. Hoping for good results with your bloods xx

MissManda ~ enjoy your scan tomorrow

Madeline's Mum ~ I hope your ob appointment calms your nerves tomorrow.

Hope everyone's well

So sorry M2boys, hopefully the bleeding wasn't the baby.

Afm, I am seeing the gp tomorrow. Really nervous about blood test results.
