Haven't posted in here in ages but I have been reading :)

JAS - so glad to hear you are enjoying life with Blake! Our twins walked much later than the other kids because they were never left alone :)

I'm now 21 weeks and look about 34 weeks! It's slightly ridiculous considering there is only one onboard this time! :p

Should make another appointment in a couple of weeks - had my morph scan a couple of weeks ago and everything looks good. Placenta is far away from my cervix so nothing to prevent my planned VBAC :)

Hi there,

Seems I am an unexpected person here too! For months ever since the third child was born I have been debating if I should or shouldn't complete the family to what I always wanted 4 children.

DH was on board wasn't for number 3 but apparently it was not as awful as he thought so was ok to keep on going. I freaked out completely after my period in July and went on the pill without telling DH got terrible guilt told him he hit the roof (which he had every right to do) then I got gastro. It seems that gastro is enough to prevent the pill from working!

My period after finishing the active pills was delayed and when it did arrive was really light so I went to the Dr and I'm pregnant :) I am very happy as the decision is now taken out of my hands.

Hoping all goes well as I have had 2 ectopic in the past both were caught early so I was able to preserve tubes but the ectopic and the surgery to remove them have left scar tissue - that coupled with the fact that the baby was conceived whilst taking the pill puts me at reasonable risk for it happening again. Bloods taken on Wednesday were really low with hcg only 40 and progesterone low. I was supposed to have more done today but I am not bleeding have no pain and want to enjoy my daughters 5th birthday party tomorrow so they can wait till Monday.

Sorry that was a mammoth introduction.

Kaz - hello again we were in a DIG group together when you were pregnant with Elise. How wonderful that you can try for the VBAC hope stays that way for you.

Endoboo - how exciting you are almost at the end :)

Cat bat - that pain sounds terrible hope eases soon.

Littlepoppet - hope that back pain eased.

To all with scans glad everything going well.

Must be off have heaps to do before school rush this afternoon

Welcome Key4- I hope all goes well and you have an uneventful pregnancy.

Endaboo - is there any news?

I am 32 weeks now, all is well although the discomfort is kicking in.

I hope those that are nearing the end are resting up. I am looking forward to hearing some baby news!

Ednaboo Good luck hope you get to meet the little one soon.

We have had positive news hear Hcg doubling daily and progesterone high so likelihood of miscarriage or ectopic getting lower by the day I will relax at about 20 weeks :)

Ednaboo - GOOD LUCK!

Just a quick *hi*. It's been chaotic here. Still baking although I wish she'd hurry up. I've hardly slept in weeks & really struggling. School holidays are here though, not sure if that's good or bad.

Ednaboo- Good luck!

Key- great news!!!

Still here just under 2.5 weeks to go until my c-section should be 1.5 LOL still not totally over that stupid surgeon and wanting to have a life. Nesting a bit today did a big clean of my kitchen still a bit to do but my body told me to rest as I was starting to get pains so I put the kids to bed and am relaxing.

I am still not very organised. Still no chest of drawers for bubs clothes but no money to buy one. I have been very cranky this last week. DH is p*ssing me off he runs his own business and is so slack at giving bills out or chasing up people who owe us money and we are struggling although we so shouldn't be. You have no idea the amount of money we are owed. Its really getting to me he keeps working for 2 friend that alone owes us $$9000ish why keep working for them when they owe us so much money. One of these friends has been on holidays 4 times this year and brought caravans etc glad DH likes shouting other families holidays where we haven't been on one together in 3 years.

Sorry vent over. My eldest friend had a little girl thismorning. Its her first and I am so excited for her. Can't wait to see her.

It's a little weird to say this but I'm not sure if I'm in labour!

Contractions woke me almost an hour ago. They're 6-ish mins (but fluctuating between 3 & 7 mins) and were lasting 90 seconds, now 45-60 seconds. I'm not sure if it's fizzling or just changing because I was laying down in bed & now I'm up.

Got a cuppa, my laptop with TV series loaded up & my fitball. DH needs to get up in 30 mins for work so I don't want to wake him unless it's the real deal.

DD arrived Sunday afternoon at 40 wks 6 days. 3.3 kg. I was very surprised that my labour was 8 hours which makes it the longest of the 4. And she is the smallest of the 4! I did get my water birth so I'm pleased about that.

Congratulations ednaboo!!

No baby here.. I had regular and STRONG contractions for 2.5 hours, DD3 woke up and I took her to bed and had a lay down - it all completely fizzled out. OB appointment Friday and although I'm over the pregnancy now, it's the anniversary of my brothers death so I'm worried if I ask for an internal/S&S she'll come before midnight and be stuck sharing that date.

Hi everyone,

Congrats ednaboo! Glad you got the water birth you wanted.

key4 - how exciting! Baby is meant to be.

BMCMI- Must have felt like a bit of an anti climax when labour didn't get underway. I've felt nothing at all to indicate that anything is happening anytime soon.

Lena - that just sounds so frustrating and unfair. Hope you are paid what is owed soon.

I haven't been here for a while but am feeling heaps better. My back has improved immensely and I can now weight bear (to some extent) on left leg. Still use crutches if walking more than a few metres but a massive improvement on where I was a couple of weeks ago.

Now I feel like I can focus on the business of birthing this baby!

I'm actually really nervous about it all as I had a terrible experience last time with baby #3. I had one incompetent, inexperienced midwife and one uncaring and downright brutal (both physically and emotionally) midwife. If I get either of them again I'm walking out and birthing this baby on my own!

BMCMI- I hope the bub can wait until Saturday for you. Hope the appointment went well today.

Endaboo - Congrats on your new arrival hope you are all settling in well.

Littlepoppet - I hope you get much nicer staff this time round.

My OB will be away for the whole month of May when this bub may be due I am secretly hoping to go a week over so she is back but as long as the baby arrives safely doesn't really matter who is there.

I have had to tell the kids what is going on as it was distressing them seeing me so ill. My 7 yr is a sensitive soul and was worried. This is hands down the worst morning sickness of the 8 pregnancy's I have had but hopefully that indicates a healthy wee one in there.

Hello Everyone, long time no chat.

Congrats Ednaboo, hope everything is going well for you and your little one.

B.M.C.M.I. - any news ? Hoping you get a date that you are happy with.

Littlepoppet - agree with key4, hope you get nicer staff this time around. Glad to hear your back is feeling better.

I had my 20 week scan last week. On a happy note (actually I may be just a little ecstatic about it), we are having a girl. This is my first girl so I may have gone a little crazy on the credit card last Friday whilst clothes shopping for her blush.png.pagespeed.ce.D8o_BDIujU.png . Unfortunately they also told me I have Placenta Praevia. I wasn't too fussed to start with as I had it with DS#1 and the placenta moved but now I have been told me that this case is worse. I am not allowed to lift anything, no sex and no strenuous exercise. They are also booking me in to see a specialist up at the maternity ward :-( Normally the chance to put my feet up and rest would seem like heaven but right now we are in the middle of renovations so poor DH is having to do nearly all of them by himself.

I am also trying desperately to have everything ready for Pookie's 5th birthday party which is in 2 weeks. *sigh* Full time work combined with limited activity is really not conducive to getting things done around here

No baby. Prelabour has exhausted me beyond what I thought was humanly possible. DH leaves tomorrow arvo & won't be home again until Friday so it'd be convenient for either tonight or a whole week away.

I've become one of those sulky, negative, 'over it' pregnant ladies that usually drive me crazy.. I'm just not feeling myself (tired, sore, stabby!) and I'm trying very hard not to snap at everyone/anyone around me.

Little poppet, I hope you have better care this time around. Nothing like sh*tty midwives to ruin such a beautiful moment.. 4 days until you're due, how are you feeling?

Aurore Mone, congratulations on a little girl. Crap news about the placenta though :-( Enjoy shopping!

Hi ladies :)

I haven't posted in the large families forum for a long time, but have been having a read through the thread, so thought I'd better come out of the woodwork so to speak ;)

I am currently 35 weeks, 5 days pregnant with baby number 7. The others have generally come around 39 3 or 4, so I am presuming that this one will be similar ;)

Belly wise I am the biggest that I have ever been which is a little disconcerting :p I usually carry fairly petite, but this time I am huge! :o

Getting to the stage where I am feeling a bit over it in general. Can't bend over to pick things up off of the ground & I swear the 2 year old wants to be in my arms permanently :p

My other children range from 15 3/4, down to 2.

Hope that everyone else is doing well & enjoying their pregnancies :)

Hi everyone,

key4 - morning sickness is horrible. I've found with each pregnancy I've suffered from it more and more. I hope it eases for you soon. It's so hard tending to other children when feeling so sick.

Aurore Mone - How exciting - a little girl! They are lovely. Sorry to hear about you having placenta praevia. Sounds like a very difficult condition to have to endure.

BMCMI - hopefully the prelabour will settle down a bit to give you a rest before the real thing happens. Fingers crossed hubby is there whenever that may be.

Maeli - hello! Not long for you now. I guess having four kids would just seem like a breeze to you now that you're on to #7! Any words of wisdom? My kids are 5 and under and I'm quite nervous about catering to everyone's needs.

Well I thought I was feeling more ready to have this baby (due in 4 days!) but she moved a lot last night and now I don't think she is in the optimal position for birthing. I can feel a big lump up near my ribs on right side. For ages she was in a breech/transverse position and one of the hospital drs was warning that I should have other plans in place for if she didn't turn. However, she did and I was hoping she would stay head down but now I'm not sure that she has. It's annoying because I tend to labour at home for as long as I can, but I wont feel confident doing so if she's not head down. Anyway, will find out on tues as I have a shared care appoint then.

Quick check in on littlepoppet - did you work out what position she's in? I hope she's head down & ready to go in the next few days (if not already!)

Thanks for thinking of me BMCMI!!

Okay, so after check up yesterday it seems she is head down (yay!) but still sitting up really high - not at all engaged. It must be her little bottom I can feel up near my ribs! So whenever I start to feel the beginnings of labour I have to head straight to the hospital to be monitored for a potential umbilical cord prolapse. Hopefully her head gets into the pelvis first.

My next check up is on Monday so will see how I go in next few days. Absolutely not feeling any signs of labour at all. She seems to have plenty of room as she moving around constantly so I'm guessing she will be quite a bit smaller than my last bub who was 4.3kg. I'm not feeling too big or heavy either, but time will tell.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Came to check on you BMCMI!

Looks like today is your EDD? I hope she doesn't keep you waiting too much longer. Actually I hope she's here and you just haven't had a chance to post yet?!

Big congrats to Ednaboo! 8 hours is short labour for me Haha! xo

I hope you ladies don't mind me dropping in. My baby is 13 weeks old now but there were a few of you in this thread with me who I want to keep tabs on!! :D
