Research request for new fathers (for men who have become fathers in the past 12 months)

Recommended Posts

Therese

I am a psychology doctoral student at Deakin University and I am conducting a study into the mental health and wellbeing of new fathers.

I am seeking men who've become fathers in the previous 12 months to complete a short online survey. The focus of the study is paternal postnatal depression, and my research hopes to examine behaviour and identify risk factors for men who experience psychological distress in the first year after birth of a child.

A link to the questionnaire is here http://www.deakin.edu.au/psychology/research/adrian_schulz/

Many thanks,

Adrian

Hi Guys,

I'm still looking for new dads to complete my questionnaire. I've added some further information below.

Regards - Adrian

----------------------------------------------------

Researchers at Deakin University are seeking men whose partners have had a baby in the past year to participate in a study on the health and wellbeing of new fathers

If you, or someone you know is the father of a baby less than one year old, we are interested in hearing about the experience of being the father of an infant.

Becoming a father for the first time, or the fourth time, can be an occasion filled with joy, excitement and fulfilment. The first year after the birth of your baby may also involve difficulty sleeping, increased stress, and changes in the relationship between you and your partner.

Participation in the study involves completing an anonymous online questionnaire that takes about 20 minutes.

To participate, go to http://www.deakin.ed.../adrian_schulz/

Enquiries about this research contact Adrian Schulz at sadri@deakin.edu.au
