Mums had the chance to meet the EB team and other EB fans at a special morning tea.

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to meet 50 EB members and their friends at a special morning tea event held in Sydney, sponsored by Advil.

It was our second event of this type and we hope they’ll become a regular addition to the calendar.

EB is much more than usernames on a screen - it’s a community made up of real, beautiful women

Organised by our marketing extraordinaire Kate, EB morning teas are a great day out for mums and their babes - they're fully catered, with special treats such as massages, manicures and goodie bags. We made sure the little ones were catered for as well, with child entertainers and babysitters providing an extra set of hands so the mums could relax and enjoy themselves.

Essential Baby Mums' Morning Tea, March 2012

The EB team love these days out, as we get the chance to get out of the office and actually meet the readers and forum members who make our jobs possible. (I have to admit, I like checking out all the fancy prams too!)

EB is much more than usernames on a screen - it’s a community made up of real, beautiful women, and this is never more evident than when we actually get to meet up in real life.

These sorts of events are only possible with the support of a sponsor, and this time we were fortunate to work with Advil Pain Relief to make the day a success. They invited a nurse, Debbie (a mum of five!), to talk about pain relief and how to treat fever in toddlers and infants, which many audience members found really useful. If you tried some of the free product samples do let us know what you thought!

The positive feedback after the day was overwhelming, and we hope to do more around the country. Tickets are always in high demand, so follow us on Facebook so you can be kept up to date with all our events.

If you can’t wait to meet other mums in your area, check out the State forums on Essential Baby, where you’ll find buddy groups in almost every region of Australia.

See you next time!
