The dance party with a difference.
Meet the new generation of nightclubbers. They're loud, have perfect skin and crazy dance moves. They are also aged between six months and seven years old.
From London to New York to Dubai, Baby Loves Disco is slowly but surely transforming the hippest night clubs into child-proof discos as toddlers, pre-schoolers and parents looking for a break from the routine playground circuit let loose for some post-naptime, pre-dinner fun.
Make no mistake, this is not the Mickey Mouse club, and The Wiggles are banned. Baby Loves Disco is an afternoon dance party featuring real music, spun and mixed by real DJs, blending classic disco tunes from the 70s, 80s and beyond - guaranteed to get those little booties moving and grooving.
The event begins next month at Slide, an Oxford Street nightclub best known for risque theme nights and pumping beats.
Complete with a flashing dance floor and chill-out rooms, this is a dance party with a difference: adults are not allowed unless they have a child or two in tow. Kids can expect bubble machines, temporary tattoos, feather boas and healthy canapes. Their parents can buy real drinks on the way to the nappy change stations. They can also have massages, grab a goodie bag and enter "best dancer" competitions. And tunes to their taste - think Blondie, the Bee Gees and Michael Jackson.
The concept was launched four years ago by a New York mum, frustrated that her dancing days stopped when she had children. The parties there sell out more than six months in advance.
Sydney co-founder Alex Carlton - mother of two-year-old Jack - said the venue is child-proofed. "No one is … having 10 drinks; it's in the middle of the day," Ms Carlton said.
"We're having kids later in life, and we're interested in keeping more balance."
The first Baby Loves Disco event will be held on Sunday, August 23, from 1pm to 4pm at Slide nightclub in Darlinghurst, with a second on September 27. Tickets are $17 for walkers (crawlers free) from moshtix.com.au.
