Stop! Don't throw that old Pringles can in the rubbish bin - it could be the secret to keeping your toddler entertained and giving you some much needed time to get a few things done.

That's what millions of people who have watched the Toddler Busy Can video seem to think anyway.

The only other things you will need to create the colourful homemade toy are bright wrapping paper, glue, a hole punch, coloured textas, pipe cleaners and some round stickers.

Toddler Busy Can

TODDLER BUSY CANWhat a cute idea this is! And it's sure to keep that little toddler entertained and busy so you can get some laundry done, or maybe a shower, or clean the kitchen, so many great reasons as to why you want to make little Busy Can. <3

The one minute clip was shared on the How Does She Facebook page and has been viewed more than 10 million people since it was posted early this month.

"What a cute idea this is! And it's sure to keep that little toddler entertained and busy so you can get some laundry done, or maybe a shower, or clean the kitchen, so many great reasons as to why you want to make little Busy Can," a message posted with the video reads.

According to several people who have commented on the video, the busy can is also great as a calming activity for children with autism.

"I have 3 autistic children, this would be great to help with fine motor skills , hand /eye coordination and sorting colours," one woman wrote.

"Also many tools / games that are made for children with autism are very expensive, ideas like this are great alternatives."

It's also a great excuse to treat yourself to some Pringles next time you are at the supermarket.
