Old-fashioned girls names

Many parents are looking for that name with vintage panache for their baby girl-to-be.

Baby names with that aura of yesteryear are increasingly popular, with even the fustier, less-popular ones making a comeback among a certain hipster set.

Here's a comprehensive - though by no means exhaustive - list of old-fashioned baby girl names.

We haven't shied away from those people still might baulk at, but we think most of them are completely usable, if not today, then maybe in a few years.

Some are sweet and quaint (Hattie, Millie, Flo), others have glittering star clout (Audrey, Ava, Josephine) and some still reside in fuddy-duddy land (Edna, Gladys, Myrtle).

It all depends on the style you're after, but you might just find your vintage moniker for your baby girl nestled in this list.
