AUSTRALIAN model Kristy Hinze and her billionaire husband Jim Clark have announced they are expecting a baby.
The Sun-Herald has learnt the couple, who live in Florida, have excitedly shared the pictures from the first ultrasound with their closest friends and family.
The former Project Runway host has made no secret of her desire to start a family after her luxurious yet intimate wedding to Clark, 36 years her senior, in the Caribbean two years ago.
''Kristy is absolutely thrilled with the news - she is just beaming,'' her spokeswoman told The Sun-Herald.
''They are one big, happy family, it's just lovely. Everyone is delighted for them.''
The 31-year-old, who is believed to be well into her second trimester, is expected to return to Australia soon to celebrate with friends and family. Sydney stylist Jo Ferguson, one of her bridesmaids, would be top of the couple's godmother list.
Last December the couple's majestic $100 million 90-metre yacht Athena moored outside the Opera House. The Sun-Herald was a guest on the exclusive yacht at the time. Hinze, the one-time Sports Illustrated cover girl who is now the face of local label Sportscraft, was glowing in an aqua blue kaftan.
She told The Sun-Herald last year she ''couldn't wait to have kids'' and that ''if she was blessed with children it would be wonderful''.
She has also mentioned she would be prepared to use IVF if needed and expressed her desire for two children.
This will be the first child for Hinze and the third for Texan Clark, an internet pioneer who founded Netscape. Clark has been married four times and has two older children, Michael and Kathy.

British model-turned-actress Jodie Kidd is four months pregnant with her first child.
The 32-year-old and her Argentine polo player boyfriend, Andrea Vianini, are set to welcome the baby this (northern) summer.
She tells Britain's Mail on Sunday, "I'm feeling really good and very excited. I've just returned from six months in Uruguay with Andrea and I am back in the UK until the summer.
"The baby is due in August and I have the big scan next week to find out the sex. I can't wait. Andrea is still overseas but he'll be back soon too."
