"Some people here (in the US) think they don't have to breastfeed, and I think, 'Are you going to give chemical food to your child when they are so little?'

I would just find a back room and hook him up.”](http://images.essentialbaby.com.au/2012/08/03/3525718/jada-pinkett-smith-80x80.jpg)

![<i>Modern Family</i>'s Julie Bowen caused a stir when she showed this photo of her breastfeeding her twin sons, John and Gus, on <i>Lopez Tonight</i> in 2010. "They call it the ‘double football hold.’ You hold one here and here [gesturing to her breasts], like two footballs … They’re doing God’s work right there, helping me return to my [pre-birth] weight.”](http://images.essentialbaby.com.au/2012/08/03/3525658/julie-bowen-80x80.jpg)
![Salma Hayek has spoken about how hard it was for her to think about weaning her daughter, Valentina. “I’m like an alcoholic - it’s like, I don’t care if I cry, I don’t care if I’m fat, I’m just gonna [breastfeed] for one more week, one more month ... and then, when I see how much good it is doing her, I can’t stop. It’s a very powerful thing, you know.”](http://images.essentialbaby.com.au/2012/08/03/3525698/salma-hayek-80x80.jpg)

![Tori Spelling was embarrassed when her husband Dean tweeted a photo of her topless on a bed, waiting to breastfeed daughter Hattie, in 2011 (photo on right). The mum of three - with another on the way - has said, “Yes, [breastfeeding]'s hard, but I love it. That’s our time together, and I can give him the one thing he wants … food!"](http://images.essentialbaby.com.au/2012/08/03/3525623/tori-bf-80x80.jpg)
