Anas and Asala Marwah, who are both influencers, decided to skip past a coloured cake or balloons filled with confetti to find out the gender of their second child. Instead, they had the announcement projected onto the Burj Khalifa which is reportedly worth a cool $130,000 AUD.
The video, which was uploaded to Youtube is titled 'The biggest gender reveal party in the world' and shows a countdown, ending with the 823-metre tower lighting up in blue, with the words 'It's a boy'.
The video already has over 14 million views since being uploaded two days ago.
The couple, who have been married since 2017, have over seven-and-a-half million subscribers on YouTube where they uploaded a clip of the dramatic reveal.
Although many people congratulated the couple, some slammed it, labelling it as 'tone deaf' in the current climate.
"I was gonna make a comment about that burj khalifa gender reveal but it's so disgusting tone deaf and full of opportunists that I decided it wasn't worth my energy," one user tweeted.
"Can't justify spending that much money," agreed another. "They should have gave it to charity in the child's name."
Added another: "This genital reveal by these people is absolutely and truly unhinged. At least they didn't set fire to California."

The extravagant announcement comes amid a gender reveal in the USA that caused a massive wildfire, after a "smoke-generating pyrotechnic device" designed to release a colour revealing the baby's sex.
US based blogger Jenna Karvunidis, who's largely credited for creating the gender reveal phenomenon, posted on Facebook urging people to "stop having these stupid parties."
"For the love of God, stop burning things down to tell everyone about your kid's penis," she wrote in the post. "No one cares but you."
