The Red Wiggle and his wife revealed the gender of their baby in a video posted Instagram , showing them cutting into a cupcake revealing blue inside.
In the video the 48-year-old held the knife with Hannaford, 34, as they cut into the cake. The pair looked ecstatic and jumped up and down when they saw the colour inside.
Pryce and Hannaford have been together for nine years, meeting in 2011 after Hannaford joined the Wiggles as Dorothy the Dinosaur. The former elite gymnast toured with the popular children's group until leaving to launch her fitness program, FHIT in 2018.
They wed in 2017, announcing they were expecting their first child together last month.
"Lauren and I are beyond excited and overjoyed to be expecting our first baby in early 2021," Pryce wrote on Instagram.
"I already feel like I'm bursting with love. I think Lauren will be happy when its born so I stop talking to her stomach, especially when we are in the supermarket aisle."
Lauren and I are beyond excited and overjoyed to be expecting our first baby in early 2021. 👶🏼 I already feel like I’m bursting with love. 🥰 I think @lozhannaford will be happy when it’s born so I stop talking to her stomach, especially when we are in the supermarket aisle. 😆 Happy Father’s Day to me. Well not quite yet but soon. ❤️ #BabyPryce #2021
Pryce and Hannaford preciously spoke to 9Honey about how they met, with the Red Wiggle saying he was "blown away" at her talent.
"Lauren was one of the fittest people I've ever seen," he recalled, saying to his wife, "I was just amazed, and blown away by your athletic ability and your talent."
Hannaford reminisced about how welcoming Pryce was on set when she first began.
"He was so welcoming of me in this world that felt so foreign to me at the time," she said. "Just really comforting."
