Celebrity pregnancies are perhaps even more popular than celebrity babies, especially when it comes to the royal family and all the anticipation about gender and naming.
We were blessed with two royal pregnancies in 2018 and they have been by far the most watched and anticipated of all.
Then there are the more regular celebs whom we have come to know and love, who share the aspects of pregnancy many of us are quite familiar with.
These are the funny and relatable stars, some of whom we've grown up knowing, and who are now having families of their very own.
These were the most clicked on, widely discussed pregnancies on Essential Baby in 2018.
1. Meghan, Duchess of Sussex
When the news of Meghan's pregnancy hit on October 15, the day after she flew into Australia with husband Prince Harry, we were totally captivated. The baby name games began concurrently with the Invictus Games and ever since, Meghan's pregnancy has attracted comment.
From addressing her age, to welcoming her to motherhood, people will always be fascinated with a royal baby, whether they're first in line to the throne, or seventh, as Meghan and Harry's baby will be.
2. Amy Schumer
Amy announced her pregnancy on Instagram on October 23, hilariously emulating Meghan and Harry by Photoshopping her own head on Meghan's and husband Chris Fischer's head on Harry's.
The comedian has had a rough time of pregnancy, developing Hyperemisis Gravidarium and sharing her tribulations with fans.
3. The Kardashian Jenners
It was a baby boom for the Kardashian Jenner clan in 2018, with three baby girls born to the family within three months of each other. First came Chicago West, born via surrogate to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West on January 15. Then Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott (real name Jacques Berman Webster) welcomed baby Stormi on February 1.
Completing the trifecta of babies was baby True Thomson who arrived on April 12.
4. Chrissy Teigen
We can't work out which pregnant Chrissy we love more; the hilariously honest and inventive pregnant Chrissy, or the glamazon extraordinaire one.
She welcomed baby Miles in May with husband John Legend, with readers treated throughout her pregnancy to funny snippets such as 'over-it' Chrissy and 'realising-the-truth-about-second-prenancies'. Not one to shy away from the big topics, Chrissy and also divulged her fears about post-natal depression, and not liking her future son's partners.
5. Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge
Kate and Will have been stellar producers of royal babies, most recently giving birth to third child Prince Louis Arthur Charles on April 23.
While he'll most likely never be king - he's fifth in line to the throne - Kate's pregnancy was nevertheless eagerly received by readers as was any hint of discussion about baby names. As with her pregnancies with Prince George and Princess Charlotte, the Duchess of Cambridge suffered with Hyperemisis Gravidarium, for which she was hospitalised.
