Model Hilary Rhoda has revealed dramatic details of her son's birth in a series of Instagram stories.
The 33-year-old welcomed son Nash Hollis on Tuesday morning, local time, describing his birth as "fast and furious" in an earlier Instagram post.
Rhoda told fans her son was currently in intensive care because he was born with his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck.
"I've showered, put on some real clothes and I feel like a new woman. I'm still at the hospital, Nash is in the NICU," she wrote.

The new mum explained that because the cord was wrapped around his neck, her newborn had breathing tubes initially after birth.
"It was a bit of a dramatic birth," Rhoda admitted, adding they're going to keep Nash in hospital until tomorrow.
"So, he's doing really well and he's just so cute. Just hanging out here [and we'll] take him home tomorrow!"

The model, who shares Nash with her husband, former professional ice hockey player Sean Avery, clarified the birth hadn't been dramatic for her, but for Nash.
"The actual labour and everything was super calm until basically the last 15 minutes," she explained.
"We didn't think I was going to be giving birth until between 3 and 8 a.m. and he came at midnight, so things escalated quickly.
"There were like 20 doctors around, his heart rate went down, he needed to come out right away so everyone's screaming, 'Push, push, push!'
"I pushed him out in like five minutes. And then it was over. So that was a very eventful 15 minutes, but it was over fast!"
