As restrictions lift around the country, everybody wants to catch up with their bestie - even three-month-old Oscar Stefanovic.

New mother Sylvia Jeffreys has shared adorable photos of Oscar hanging out with his little friend - fellow Channel Nine star Jayne Azzopardi's son Joey.

"Love watching these little buddies grow together," the TV personality wrote on Instagram, sharing a cute snap of the two lying next to each other, hashtagging it #twodaysapart.

Jeffreys and husband Peter Stefanovic welcomed Oscar into the world at the start of February, around the same time Azzopardi and her husband, cinematographer Trent Butler, announced the birth of their son Joey.

It's not the first time the duo have hung out with their gorgeous sons, sharing a photo a few weeks ago of a socially distant park date.

"Nice to feel (almost) normal for a few moments today," the Today Extra host wrote, describing the outing as "the best kind of social distancing with our little hospital buddies".

She continued, reassuring followers that there were "no hugs" exchanged. "We still felt the love from 1.5m away," she said.

The journalist spoke to Today Extra earlier this month about becoming a mother, saying "it's just been the most wonderful and surprising experience".

"It is an extreme and deep joy, it is rational anxiety," she continued. "But mostly just joy and wonder, and in awe of this beautiful little boy."

Jeffreys has shared what it's like being a new mum during a global pandemic, urging other mothers to connect with her, and each other in the absence of face-to-face mothers groups.

In the post, she said she was "sending "love and virtual hugs" to other mums feeling "extra isolated".

"Drop a comment below if you want to connect, chat about reflux, LOL about 💩namis, recommend some binge-worthy series, or share your sleep secrets," the TV personality said, encouraging mothers to chat and stay connected.

"How special is it for the two of them to grow up together, and also for you and Jane to have each other dealing with similar wonderful moments and also struggles as a Mum" one follower commented on Jeffreys' pic of Oscar and Joey.

"They are both so gorgeous," another fan gushed "How precious to spend this time together. Total little heartbreakers!"
