UPDATE: is reporting that the baby's name is North - as in, North West.

"Seriously, that's the kid's name ... at least according to the birth certificate from Cedars-Sinai hospital," a TMZ post, published on June 20, said.

We think we'll wait for the proof, thanks ...

Kim Kardashian and her partner Kanye West have yet to reveal any details about their new daughter, born on June 15, but that hasn’t stopped the gossip sites from going into overdrive.

The biggest question, for now, is what the baby has been named.

As many members of the Kardashian/Jenner clan all have names starting with the letter K (the girls, for those who aren’t in the know, are named Kourtney, Khloe, Kylie, Kendall; ‘momager’ Kris Jenner completes the set), and Kanye’s name also starts with the letter, it’s generally believed the baby will share the initial.

Betting sites have been offering odds on Junior Kimye’s name for weeks. Paddy Power has been giving Kay and Kris both odds of 20/1, with Kim at 8/1. Kimye sat at 25/1, but at even longer odds were the more traditional names of Mia and Lara, at 33/1.

Live Odds went in a different direction, with Krystal, Kristen, Kara and Kacey among their most popular picks.

But breaking news (well, the latest gossip, anyway) has it that a nurse at LA's Cedars Sinai Hospital has leaked the baby’s name, and it is … drumroll please …  Kaidence Georgia Donda West.

The name does fit the pattern – Kaidence, of course, starts with that familial ‘K’, and also (when spelled correctly, as ‘cadence’) gives a nod to West’s music career.

West grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, giving the name a geographical link (and following the celebrity trend of naming babies after places). George was also the middle name of Kardashian’s late father, Robert.

As for Donda? It was the name of West’s late mother.

Of course, there’s been no official confirmation, so this could be just more idle speculation on an already gossip-fuelled pregnancy and birth.

What we do know is that the first glimpse we’ll get of the baby will most likely be on grandma Kris Jenner’s TV show, which premieres on July 15 in the US.

A source told Radar Online, "Kris told well-wishers to tune into her new talk show to get all the inside scoop about Kim’s newborn baby. When someone asked Kris if the baby would make an appearance on the show, she demurely said 'you will have to watch'.

"Kris was asked if she had any pictures of the baby, and she revealed she did, but didn’t want share with anyone."

While releasing the first official images or footage of the baby on the talk show would be a big move for Jenner, and definitely a ratings coup for a fledgling show, it could also mean a loss of potentially a lot of money.

Traditionally, magazines pay up big for celebrity baby shots; it's thought sister Kourtney made around $250,000 from her deal with US Weekly. But as sister Kim is better known - and Kanye is an infinitely bigger star than Kourtney's partner, Scott Disick - their photos could go for much, much more.

For now, though, it just seems we'll have to hold on for more leaked information/hospital gossip ...
