We can all agree that whatever people have to do to feel their best selves is important.
All too often, however, this can be interpreted as weight loss success, especially for women. The battle to 'bounce back' after having a baby - or not - is completely personal.
Jessica Simpson made headlines when she posted on September 25 that she had shed 45kg in the six months since the birth of her third child Birdie.
She wrote on Instagram alongside a full-length photo, "...so proud to feel like myself again. Even when it felt impossible, I chose to work harder."
Amy Schumer in her inimitable and hilarious way, posted a weight loss photo of her own, referencing Simpson's post.
She joked, "Ok Simpson! Well I've lost 10 pounds [4.5kg] and 100 dollars to my sister playing poker. #norush #givememymoneybackkim"
Jess spotted the post, commenting, "You're hot. Size only matters when it comes to men."
Schumer's followers are lapping up the funny and supportive comment - it has been liked more than 8,800 times and counting.
After all, investing in a healthy regime after baby is as valid as those who choose to do other things with their time and energy.
There's room for both, with a lot of humour along the way.
With Simpson and Schumer now Instagram besties, we look forward to many more laughs.
