'I love the daddy club' says Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis

The once wild boys of the Red Hot Chili Peppers are now almost all members of the daddy club, with three out of four of the members now fathers.

“I love the club,” frontman Anthony Kiedis, 48, explained on Fuse TV. “Good God, it’s a beautiful club. Who knew? You can’t know until you go. It’s wild.”

Kiedis is father to 3 year old son Everly Bear by former partner Heather Christie. Everly sports long hair, just like his dad used to signature hairstyle, and the star dmits that Everly is often mistaken for a girl.

The now-sober singer, whose battle with a heroin addiction was chronicled in the autiobiography Scar Tissue. claims parenting hasn’t cramped his style.  “I think people that have fear that, ‘Oh if I have a kid I won’t be able to do this and I won’t be able to do that.’ It’s kind of the opposite. It really gives you energy. It makes people better.”

Joining Kiedis in the daddy club is bassist Michael ‘Flea’ Balzary, who is dad to daughter Sunny Bebop, 5½, with model Frankie Rayder, as well as elder daughter Clara, 22, who recently graduated from college .

“I love being a father and wanted to be a father long before I had any business being a father,” he told Fuse. “One could argue easily that I had no business being a father when I became a father at 25 … but I just love it. That kind of love — I have never experienced it before. That kind of unconditional, doing anything for a person love.”

Drummer Chad Smith has five children — Manon, Justin, Ava, Cole and Beckett, all under the age of 14.

The  Red Hot Chili Peppers are currently touring in support of their new album I’m With You.
