David and Victoria Beckham are reportedly planning a $US50,000 ($A49,857) A-list event for their daughter Harper's first birthday.

Harper turns one next month, and the Beckhams are apparently organising an extravagant affair to ring in the milestone.

Victoria has reportedly spent weeks looking for the perfect outfit for Harper's girly party, which will have a total pink theme.

It's reported the garden will be filled with big pink cuddly toys, pony rides, a bouncy castle, balloons and hundreds of cupcakes.

Victoria and David are reportedly also using the party to show off their newly decorated Hollywood home while celebrating Harper's big day.

The Beckhams apparently haven't had a house party since they got their Beverly Hills mansion totally renovated.

It's expected the guests will include the Hollywood parents and kids who are the Beckham's usual play dates, such as Selma Blair and Nicole Richie.

Harper's godmother, Eva Longoria, is sure to be there, too.

Meanwhile, David Beckham says the family is happy to stay in Los Angeles where he's raising his brood with Victoria after having spells in the UK and Spain.

But during an event honouring the legends of his LA Galaxy team, he told reporters that his family is definitely going to stay in America for the foreseeable future.

"The kids are a number one priority and for the last five years they have been incredibly happy here," he said.

"They go to school and are treated like normal kids, whereas maybe in Europe it's been different for us. The attention we had there as a family and on our kids was a lot more intense."
