Fox Sports presenter Emma Freedman has announced the birth of her first baby, a son.
Freedman and her husband Charlie Rundle, who she wed in June 2018, welcomed William Anthony Rundle on 16 April - six weeks early.
Taking to Instagram on Friday, the 31-year-old wrote, " Well, haven't we had an eventful ten days".
Freedman shared that her long-legged, blue-eyed, fair-haired, chubby-cheeked little boy, "burst into the world very unexpectedly" weighing 2.5 kg.
"As is the case with preemie babies, we have been in hospital since his arrival and that will continue for a little time yet," Freedman wrote, adding that her baby is "perfectly healthy" and just needs "time to adapt to the outside world".
"He is making amazing progress every day," she wrote. "Charlie and I are completely besotted with him."
Despite his speedy arrival, Freedman shared that William has already brought the couple "infinite joy and love".
"Dad has been a total rock during the moments where I have struggled emotionally with having a premmie," Freedman wrote of her husband. "I couldn't imagine my life as a Mum without Charlie. He is incredible."
Freedman also thanked the nurses and doctors at Sydney Children's Hospital whom she noted "have blown us away."
"All true angels who have become trusted guardians for Will.
"We can't wait to take our little guy home."
It wasn't an easy pregnancy for Freedman who previously shared that she experienced "horror morning sickness" until 25 weeks.
"There's been mornings filled with pulling over the side on Oxford Street, opening my door and vomiting on the road," she told listeners of Triple M's Grill team
